  • Great band!!!

  • Please tell me where to get this album! I'd be so happy

  • classic hardcore

  • this is the remix that doyle and jerry touched up

  • Got to see them in 81' and 83', they were pretty good live considering.

  • haha it sounds like the drum kit from rockband

  • The old misfits were great live..Get the album Evillive its awesome, and Hatebreeders on that album is incredible

  • is there anywear i can get this album

  • @yanksman44 Send me a PM.

  • @Honkofthewall Can You Give Me This Album

  • @Honkofthewall i also want to know where to get this album.

  • @Honkofthewall I want to know as well, please.

  • @yanksman44 I saw it on vinly in streetlight records

  • @yanksman44 most of it's on the boxed set.

  • where can i get this picture?

  • @theotternbeast I PM'd it to you.

  • This sounds much tighter than the Doyle era live stuff.

  • I was in kindergarten when this show was done. Jesus, when you put in perspective...and there would have been no way I'd have listened to the Misfits then. I'd have been scared out of my five year old little mind, lol!!!

  • is somebody banging on shoe boxes or is that mr jim?

  • Great version of Marilyn.

  • The show after this, The Misfits were banned from Max's Kansas City. Apparently they didn't like Glenn and the crew throwing glasses at people.

  • i love the slower pace.it kind of gives you a fresh perspective on the songs.

  • Is this Bobby or Franche on guitar?? great classic Misfits!

  • @ThrashPunkfiend It's Doyle on guitar, because this show was overdubbed by Jerry and Doyle in '94. Bobby's playing on the original track.

  • as a fan of everything related to the misfits i was wondering how danzig, eerie von, jerry only, and bobby steele get to perform the same songs?

  • back when glenn was obsessed with horror films, comics, religion, toys;and was influenced by Morrison,Elvis.....One word, when he singed amazing.Waaay before he become influenced with himself.

  • frankenstien looks so young!!!!

  • I would kill to see Misfits 78-80 live

  • What an EPIC SHOW!!!!

  • damn i want a devilock.

  • i did a guitar cover on this gig its on my profile

  • Almost as awesome as the clip of GD getting knocked out, love the misfits, but dam that's funny

  • this is just audio wth

  • fucken genious! stop argueing about bs!

  • this is some of the best sounding live pieces from the misfits i've ever heard, everything just comes together so nicely, his voice and guitar/bass with distortion sounds so fucking greeeaased, misfits are so fucking beast man

  • Look at how young Doyle looks

  • what a awsome recording

  • Bullet sounds so slow

  • slow sounds way better

  • I like both slow and fast. But slow I like better because I can hear Glenn Danzig's voice longer, and he sounds fucking amazing. Anyone who thinks they are cooler because they like it fast are retarded. Punk isn't about speed, it's about the attitude.

  • Bullet is better faster you retard. ;)

  • its all preference you moron. they played it slow here because clearly they were givin' proper stage time. Proper stage time means you don't have to rush it like you would at a small gig where they give you 20 minutes to do ten billion songs. It sounds great the way they played it here, and like how they played it on their albums is the same way so yeah fuck your theory.

  • It was not a theory- bullet is better faster.

    That's a fact.

Also- it was fast on Static Age (how they played it on their album) not slow like this dumbass.

  • lol you keep saying saying shit like it's fact. they played it slow because they weren't under time constrictions, this is the original way it was meant to be played. same goes with blackflag, they play some of their songs at small gigs really quick to the point you can barely understand shit they say. This version isn't even that slow so stop your bitching, it's clear and still fast like punk should be.

  • in 1978 that was considere fast and luod

  • Fact is how it appears on SA is how it was originally intended to sound. Get over it.

  • you retard this is the origines of punk rock

  • What u talking about retard?

The origins of punk is stuff like MC5 or The Stooges. After that Ramones was prob the first true punk band.

  • Man you don't know shit that's your problem. And you get over it being slow faggot.

  • Meaning- I know the real deal and you keep getting sand in your vagina, heh. Grow up loser.

  • Lol see, you're delusional. All you do is talk like you know what you're talking about, I know your fucking type. Scumbags like you need to get beaten on sight, if you ever walked down my streets in ny i'de thrash your fucking head. Get over it, it's played slower stop bitching you're such a girl

  • Man, easy to play you as waving a red rag in front of a bull, heh. While your delusions of combat skills our hilarious, in reality I'd probably kick the shit of of in seconds. You sound like some little douche who has been a fiend for a few years and thinks he knows everything.

Check this- I have met GD and have EVERY album he ever put out personally signed. Cept for BAII. You are total fail. Move past the ego do something with your life idiot. Everyone here thinks you're a twat.

  • Guess what? I dont and no one gives a shit about how man lame as Danzig albums you have. Glenn Danzig is way to caught up in his ego.

  • Like most ignorant dweebs you take Glenn Danzig speaking his mind as constituting an inflated self opinion.

If you can provide evidence to the contrary go ahead, otherwise shut the fuck up newb.

  • try Music Machine - Talk Talk. you'd like that if you havn't heard of it.

  • The Stooges and the M.C.5 were the first Punk rock groups as we know it now The year was 1969. It had grown from garage rock from the 60's The Count Five, the Seeds Human Beinz etc...tons of bands like that In N.Y.C..Patti Smith Television, The Ramones, The Dictators & Blondie started making noise around 1975 and the whole scene exploded around 1977. I know 'cause i was there.I also tried out for singer in the reformed Misfits and my friend produced the first two albums.

  • Strong!

  • im only 15.I would of loved to witness ''Punk'' at its most purest in 77 with Richard Hell,The Ramones etc.

It would have been fucking beautiful

Sorry im just a curious misfits fan and stuff but how did you think it went when you auditioned like initial thoughts on how you did. and how did you audition??

  • @TheJetfighter666 check out a song by the bluestars called social end product from 1966, there's many more songs around then and earlier that could fit the bill as well. The stooges and mc5 weren't the first at all. The count five, seeds, human beinz are major label 60s garage bands, the rawer/punkier stuff is on local label 45's with bands nobody even mentions besides hardcore garage fanatics.

  • @TheJetfighter666

    Ever consider writing a book?

  • @TheJetfighter666 i agree but wheres the NY Dolls ?!?!

  • @TheJetfighter666 you talk such utter shite. Is it not enough to just like the music, do you have to claim so somehow be related to it?

  • @havok667 My Name is Ronnie Ace TYRANT / THE BEAST/ GLORIANBLAK .I am from Red Bank N.J. I am 55. Daniel Rey Produced the first two comeback albums. He grew up listening to music in my bedroom.I grew up with Dave Wyndorf, Know Him?? MONSTER MAGNET 5 houses down from me. Want more??Mark Chesley [MUTHA RECORDS] was the singer in TYRANT. ASK DOYLE OR JERRY about my tryout in '94!! Want more,How about THE WORST-CHRONIIC SICK-FATAL RAGE-BLITZ SPIER-Phil Cavano now in M.M. DIM MAK My buds. Get a life

  • @havok667

  • @BreakingGlass77 Damn, what about "Where Eagles Dare" though? That's even slower!

  • Nope, it was planed to release by the Misfits called "Who Killed Marilyn" in 1979, but they didn't have the money.

And to the other guy (not you) that deleted his comment: This is from 1978, beliefe me. You don't have to release a song before playing it live.

  • "beliefe" you?

  • @JoeMulk Oh no, what have I done, a typo.

  • it doesnt get any better than this

  • JUST THINKIN THE SAME THING

  • look how young doyle is

  • interesting they played the songs at studio speed.true american punk rock

  • Yea thats why i like this show lol

  • and that is a sweet ass pic of doyle used in the vid

  • Comment removed

  • =O=O=O=O

  • i think the vid with the poster posted may be it (the undubbed recording). It sounds pretty authentically recorded thru a pair of pop cans on string with some different vol. fluctuations...onethirtyeightdotcom guy...check it out and tell me if you agree...

  • Yeah I've seen this right after posting the comment, 'cause I've been on your profile.

    They're the original ones.

  • where are the dubs? rhythm or that psycho lead guitar? probably a drum track to add the illusion of clarity? If you can find the source tape, please upload it too...I guess the guys have become Crosby Stills and Nash in their old age. Thanks...worth it for 'eagles dare' alone.

  • Bass and Guitar are overdubbed.

I had the original tracks somewhere, but I can't find them now, I'm sorry. : (

  • great sound thanks for the upload man

  • this bootleg was with doyle or bobby steele?

  • Bobby Steele.

  • But his guitar was overdubbed by doyle on this recording, I have the original recording with Bobby guitar track, too.

    (forgot to add this)

  • Is this the recording Jerry and Doyle were overdubbing in 95 when they hired Graves?

  • Yep

  • good stuff is there Doyle singing in the songs??

  • i wish ive been waitin for that all the time i liked misfits or gorgeous frankentstien

  • well did dr.phibes

  • doyle was not in the misfits in 78.most likely bobby steele on guitar/

  • Nah it was franche Coma

  • nah franche coma

  • Doyles not even in this

  • This is not the original source, its been over dubed by jerry and doyle, cause jerry was a retard and wanted it redone. ruining the classic sound

  • Yeah,I know, but I didn't find the original show in my collection.

  • Do you no if theirs a actual vid for this

  • No, there isn't.

  • i wish there was

  • Very nice post.

  • i love that picture haha

  • Woah, at Max's, no less.
