my first impression of the recipe is that there is nothing here not to love. so psyched because i am always trying to think of finger foods to bring to parties and always end up doing the same things. do you like mushrooms? i have a freaking humdinger of a recipe for you for a hot mushroom dip if you want it. it is freaking amazing.
I made these for new years, and they were a hit! Everyone loved them. I had to hide a couple in the fridge to make sure I got some ;) thanks so much for the recipe!!
Oh they turned out wonderful and I didnt even use the dip mix, I just added chives, parsley, garlic and dill to the mayo then I added some seasoned salt and other little spices to get the spice right. Thank you so much! These are going with to New Years Eve!
Sorry forgot to tell you I slice them into finger food size??? thats how we eat them..the ends are usually left at home for the hubs and me to snack on. LOL
I make these for pass arounds for work..I like to add a layer of hard salami too . I make them thicker with the cheese, and salami...I roll loosely...They are so good...Always a favorite. when sliced.
I love making wraps! My friend had her baby shower in November and I made turkey spinach wraps and ham spinach wraps. It was a hit. You cant go wrong with wraps.
'who doesn't like bacon right' TOO TRUE!!! especially crunchy bacon bits :D
Your santa measuring cups & spatula are too cute :P mm creamy spinach sounds delightfully creamy! I love creamy style corn relish...that stuff is so SO good! I can only begin to imagine how much delicious cuisine you will have for your christmas celebration this year... You should do a special upload on xmas day showing all the delicious food you made! would it sound strange if I asked for an invitation hahahhaa XD
Yum! These look great! I bet these would be good with water chestnuts for some crunch. Reminds me of spinach dip! :-) And those Santa Claus measuring cups and utensils are a hoot!
My favorite Christmas cookies are any kind of spice cookies! Lebkuchen, pfeffernuesse, gingerbread, etc.!
@Monchichito Yep the water chestnut gives it that nice crunch and little bit of exotic-ness :)
Love all those cookies you named! Especially pfefferneuse. I had some of the best gingerbread when I was in England and have never found anything that came close to being that good. Ever.
Very nice!! I've had these at parties but I swear I thought I was eating creamcheese and spinach instead of Ranch and sour cream!! I have to try this. Bet it would be good as a hot dip too!!
@jcrefasi1 Someone mentioned Knorr mix. I have used that in my regular spinach dip and didn't even think about it when making this! Doh! So give that a try
Mmmm...this is just like spinach dip minus the water chestnuts, which I would include. Looks yummy! I've never had it with bacon. Can't wait to try this out. ;)
When I was scrolling through my YouTube subscription vids, this one immediately caught my attention and had to open it first! I am craving it so much... I wouldn't have the willpower to wait for it to chill. Thanks for sharing this recipe! (Betsy from Mississippi)
OH! YUM-EEEE! I bet these were the best! Do you think they could go in the oven as a warm appetizer too? I love the warm spinach dip...there's one for you to do! I bet they were a big hit!
@wildheart5 You know, I'm not so sure about warm. It does sound good in theory but would worry it would spoil if it sat for a while? Not sure. I guess the same could happen for it cold, right? Hmm next time I will make one roll hot and see how it goes!!
@drkangel762 I remember trying feta once (I think it was hmm) and not liking it. But sometimes your tastes change, so maybe I will give it a whirl again!!
@GothyPingu mmm Mom just whipped up a batch of my sugar cookies (see one of my other recipes) today and just finished decorating. She is so cute how she likes to make little individual cookies for everybody :))
When I make spinach dip, I usually use Knorrs vegetable soup instead of Ranch dressing. My family loves it...I might give this a try with the rolls instead. Thanks!
@deweykinz That sounds AWESOME! I use that when making regular spinach dip, so I do not know why it didn't come to me when making this. I bet it would have been 10x better.
@yoyomax12 Isn't it funny how you have them at certain things? The last time I had them was around 8 yrs ago after our hula class let out and we had a big potluck. They do look really pretty sliced up and on a tray, definitely! I just sliced mine and was the first one to take on (had to make sure I wasn't going to kill anyone!!) and then turned the next piece up so people could ee what it was.
OY @ 10 degrees holy crap. It is 75 here!! I want it like this all the time
Girl you just made a appetizer!!! Nummy if you put water chestnuts in this you serve with spinach or hollow out a bread bowl put in there its spinach dip, Ive had before I need to make that now. Hey you just said water chestnuts! LOL
@MrsRedAng I know!!! I was scratching my head thinking what I could make because I knew they would have everything else all planned, then Jason gave me spinach and since it would take a year for me to eat that bag, I decided to make these! I haven't had them in YEARS!!!
@Joan3424 LOL @ you being a heathen!! I couldn't believe mom of all people had never heard of these. She is from the land of cheese and weird appetizers and hot dishes!
These are one of my all time favs, because they are good no matter what the weather...tfs and Merry Christmas with many blessings for the New Year to you and yours...Hugs Zelda
@jenzeppelin uh oh, that isn't a good thing, right? I tend to do the same thing and have to hurry to go to sleep or I would eat everything in the cupboard ;)
@CookingAndCrafting i've been thinking about these spinach rolls ALL DAY lol. i think i am gonna go to the store tommorrow, pick up everything i need and make these part of my Christmas finger foods. your videos are always awesome, your recipes are always delicious... looking forward to all the great foods you will bring us in 2012! :)
Those rolls look sooo good! I think this time of year, I really love the fancy decorated sugar cookies, but that is cuz they look cute! I adore white choco. Macadamia nut, but I don't get them often! The nuts are so pricey on the mainland!! Well, after all this I gotta grab a snack! TFS! Merry Christmas!
Oooh mom just did a bunch of sugar cookies today. I will go post it on my FB page.
Hmm I have some mac nut things going up soon, perhaps I will do another send out of mac nuts. They are expensive here too. I get them at Costco and they are not much cheaper, just a teeny bit!
my first impression of the recipe is that there is nothing here not to love. so psyched because i am always trying to think of finger foods to bring to parties and always end up doing the same things. do you like mushrooms? i have a freaking humdinger of a recipe for you for a hot mushroom dip if you want it. it is freaking amazing.

I can see making these and devouring them all, and telling everyone else to get their own.
I can also envision doing this with fresh spinach, eliminating the squeezing out of all that excess water they pack it with.
