Yes, a very useful video! Thanks very much for uploading it. My father just began dialysis after his kidneys failed a week ago. He still needs to undergo an operation for enlarged prostate, and regain his general health after suffering extreme weight loss and living for an extended period with creatinine levels of over 13 (!), but after that I'm hoping that I'll be able to give him one of my kidneys. It's nice to know that, if we're not a match, there's another way to go about it. : )
When my husband had his niece give him one of her kidneys back in 1998, there was no lapartomy they just did a nephretomy. But it's cool how things are changing and the surgery is less invasive now. That's pretty exciting to me. My husbands creatinine is at 1.3 and I did not realize that a kidney could last up to 20 years. I thougt it was only 10. His first kidney transplant was a cadaver and that transplant was awful. Hubby contracted CMV, and Legionella. Scary time for all of us. He's ok now.

Very useful! I've been looking for a detailed all-in-one informational video about kidney transplant, and this is the one. Thank you!
