She never made him do anything; in fact, she DIDN'T want him to take her place on the guillotine. When Rin lost Len, she realized how terrible of a person she was, because she could finally identify with the citizens she hurt and caused the deaths of. She realized her sins, and repented for them. However, the price for those sins is that she loses the one person she loved.

@satsuki122 rin and len are my favorite vocaloids, and all the vocaloids are in songs where they can be matched with different people, in all songs they act differently, they are just voice synthesysers and dont actually feel anything. all vocaloids have songs where they act like bitches, they also all have songs where they can be sweet. so you can't say that rin is a bitch just because she lets jealousy get the better of her in the evil series, the kagamines die the most out of all vocaloids.

I' ve been doing a lot of thinking on this matter. The Evil Series may tell the story of thier past life. A life, when thatey were human and, indeed, twins. Then when they were born again, they lost thier memories of that time. And became mirrior images/lover. But personally, I see them as twins.

They were made and advertised by Crpyton as mirror images of each other. Again, though, depending on the song and/or situation they are what the matter calls for. Calling them twins is just easier than lovers or mirror images. Seeing how mirror images is too much of a mouthful and their common last name and looks rule out lovers unless implied.
