I think this song is about government ALWAYS failing.

"We raised new flags, just the same old story" indicates that.

"We seized the throne, subjugate." and then "We should have burnt it to the ground"

What does that mean? I think it's about government being abolished as such.

I think we need to storm the gates and raise new flags around the world. Governments are failing and the world is going to the dogs, it's about time people who had some common sense about them were in control and this song symbolises just that. We need to Rise Against the wrong in this world and put right what corrupt governments and businessmen have done to the world!

@Mrsomeone100001 As much as I'd like to join you, I think there are people doing their best to repair the damage done, and yes; many are doing more damage then they repair. The thing is, that you apparently (please excuse me if I'm wrong) have no idea how difficult it is to do as you said here.

I think doing the things you deem good to help the world is a noble thing, but you should be careful as to where you lay the blame for the problems you're hoping to solve.
