Try to put "Funny Ways" of the Gentle Giants as soundtrack. I opened both video toghether (as an error). The music video was in background, the song seemed a soundtrack, and it works perfectly!!
@RamsexmaR I am no expert and i have never used a motion picture film camera, but my understanding is if you increase the frame rate of the camera and use a normal frame rate on the projector, it will produce slow motion.
Hi what camera did you use? Does it have a register pin? I ask as some of the footage looks more like s8. It's great to see real film! keep up the good work-cheers
I really, really like this. The Automan part, especially. That must've been pretty tedious. How in the heck did you shoot the shot where the dude gets scared by Automan? That's fantastic! Reminds me of the old turn of the century films that had the super-exaggerated acting. I'd love to see a full version.
thanks! tedious indeed. That dude, me, simply jumped. My friend and I shot a whole segment of us jumping around being cuckoo clock figurines, which unfortunately didn't make it onto film [pay attention to your counter!] Maybe sometime I'll finish digitally [since 16mm=$]..

cool stuff- I just bought a bolex 16mm and will be using it soon- what frame rates did you use for each scene? Particularly the first one?
Vintagedude 4 years ago
I honestly can't remember at the moment. But for the stopmotion bit, we did 3 clicks for each movement.
karijo 4 years ago
@Vintagedude probably 68 fps

did you use any special filters or grading to make it look so stark and bold?
