@lvfismf It is what it is. This was an honour killing meaning the women were killed to protect the honour of Mohammed Shafia and his son. Women who don't wear a burka or the hijab are considered apostates and according to Islamic teachings according to scriptures with the equivalent authority as the Koran, state such women are be killed.Not all muslims ascribe to the other authoritative scriptures that have been authorized by scholars on Islam from prestigious universities. Very sad.

I just heard on the radio yesterday (NOT the CBC) that it will cost taxpayers about 8 million dollars to incarcerate all three Shafias for the next 25 years. The radio announcers were debating whether or not it would be better to deport them back to Afghanistan and save the money. Callers were weighing in with their opinions and a large number were in favour. Of course they didn't know that there it is legal for parents to kill their kids under sharia (Umdat al salik 01:1-2) LOOK IT UP!
