Peanut had to be put asleep yesterday. She had kidney failure. best thing to do was to put her to sleep. She wasn't going to recover.

don't take this the wrong way but i think daschund is a bit over-weight, and when shes doing the tricks all she's interested in the food which is causing her to gain weight, and i dont think u should make her spin and dance at 2:00 and beyond, because if she falls she could very easily slip her disc

Actually, Peanut is 10 lbs, she is in great shape. Keeping her active is the best way to keep her healthy and avoid back injury. I know that it looks like she is getting a treat after every trick, but she is only getting a tiny bite of a pup-a-roni lean each time.

If you keep you dog fit and in great shape their back will be very strong. Peanut is one of the most fit Doxies my vet has ever seen. She is pure doggie muscle. It's a common misconception that their backs are just normally weak. The misconception really comes from the fact that Doxies can really tend to overeat and get fat. The chunkier they are the harder it is on their back. By the way Peanut is eating a ½ a piece of soy sausage in the video it just appears that she is getting a lot.
