It doesn't work for me, I'm trying to put the song Koopa Troopa Beach. I put it in my level folder (where you keep the custom gfx, right?) and then typed in Koopa Troopa Beach(dot)mp3, clicked custom, and then save, but it didn't play? Help? :C

Hey my SMBX won't start. It'll freeze in the middle of loading. I noticed that the opening box where you choose the game or editor is blank so i think that has something to do with it. Does anyone know how to fix this cause i desperately want to use this program!

@ElChipotle200 Idk why it won't start, you might have an outdated version. Google SMBX and click the download(dot)cnet link for the latest version. The reason the opening box is blank is because Redigit (the creator) took it down from Super Mario Brothers dot org.

Cant get it to work. I have tried it before i even saw this. the only way I know of a working way, is name switching, where you rename the mp3 after an existing name. Is there a way other than that, or an explaination why this isnt working?

@1337rank 1. Have it in the same folder as your level.

2. In the level, go Level>Mics.>Custom box, Type in the song name EXACTLY!(I just copy and paste)

3. Add(.mp3) at the end.

4. You should be good to go.

@metaldragon3303 you first make a layer and make the exit in it's own layer. Then, go to events. Make one called anything, for example, Exit Appear, and make it say Show (exit's layer), and at Level - Start, Hide (exit's layer). Then, go to npc's, click an enemy, and click events. Click "Exit Appear" and then, whenever you kill it, it will appear. You can make anything appear, too. Like coins, blocks, and enemies.

Theres a another way

1. Put the MP3 song in your worlds map.

2. Go to level editor.

3. Select level settings and misc.

4. then type in the box the MP3 u saved in ur worlds map for a example i got: nsmb-world.mp3

5. Click custom then done! then it plays the song.

(Without saving the level i think.)

1. Make sure you have the MP3 in the worlds folder (with the levels)

2. Open the editor

3. go to level settings

4. go to misc. (inside level settings)

5. Write in the MP3 name in the text box (spyro.mp3 for an example)

6. hit the box with the name "Custom"

7. Save the level

That should do it, if not it's something I Don't understand, probably bug.

@hoemmario That worked exactly like you showed. But do you know how to change the music in an area after eg. a boss fight ? After my boss fight the same music plays again and I don't know how to change the music with the "events" window. It would be very cool if you help

It was one, but it is supposed to work aslong as you have an MP3 player. If not, just double check the steps.

but my music from ost doesnt work right?

i was going to play all nsmb wii music all but doesnt work :( now i know.. i chose the bad music XD which it skipped first part music. im wrong lol
