no....you must keep the same scale

but you can emphasize the note of the IV and V chord

e.g you play a G minor Pentatonic Solo

you start from G over the Gmin chord

then you play C note over the Cmin chord...

but you are still in the Gminor Pentatonic scale

thank you for your lesson. Very helpful but,it seems to me,that your improvvisations on blues soloing are quite similar each other. Instead,if you listen to bb king ,even if all his songs has the I - IV - V (o something similar) progression,his solos are never the same.

@SteelSkullX string thickness is all dependent on your personal preference. I use 9's because it makes everything much easier for me. I can play on 10's but my fingers are no longer used to having to use the effort it takes to hit the proper pitch when i bend. As for tone, it shouldn't make a huge difference whether your strings are 9's or 10's...although 10's might give you a bit more "full" sound because of the added thickness. REALLY though, it is 95% what works well for you.

but the bends are getting really hard.......
