@illfuckyourfacehole - MDMA is not at all similar to methamphetamine in its mechanism of action. Methamphetamine phosphorylates D2 dopamine receptors, unloading a load of dopamine quickly. MDMA does this to a much lesser degree - instead tending to bind to the SERT transporter protein and reversing the pump, causing a flood of serotonin in the process.
Long story short, neither LSD, GHB, nor MDMA are a health risk if you take them according to commonly recommended dosages.
@djlinux64 So i can take LSD is what you are saying, safely? I just find myself to be sensitive already, i am no average person and i have terrible nightmares sometimes. I am allergic to some things and break out even if i use a soap with lots of chemicals. I have to eat organic for i am sensitive to the bad things they put in lots of food. Taking psychedelics would only make me freak out and i have always heard the damage they have caused this is why i think they are not for me.
@Deah92fooeee I completely agree with you. The toxicity of the vast majority of illegal drugs lies in their potentially toxic behavioral effects. It is critical to be accompanied with good friends in a positive mental environment when indulging in use of any psychoactive substances.
The question of whether or not to indulge is a highly personal decision. Please read through what others have to say regarding this philosophical decision at bit dot ly slash vHhEu5
@Deah92fooeee yeah, your state of mind and surroundings are important when on drugs. i had a really bad trip last night after smoking some seriously strong weed, but all the bad things went away when my friend came in and rubbed my back and started a conversation with me, i was able to focus on whats real.
@illfuckyourfacehole - I am a neuroscientist and I can attest to the fact that you have much to learn about LSD, GHB, and MDMA. Not only are all of your facts wrong, your explanations are misleading. Amphetamine analogs typically cause brain damage due to free radical breakdown products. LSD has never caused death, though taking 1 million dollars worth of LSD at once will cause respiratory failure. GHB is not neurotoxic but slightly addicting.
Psychedelics were invented to easily manipulate and control a generation, right. Ignorance is what it brought. Now my generation has to deal with the world's woes with intelligence. I am not sure psychedelics open your mind up to a new knowledge filled door, it kills your brain. This is why i am clean of any drugs and never went to a party for the 19 years i've been on this planet. I meditate and research all day and only surround myself with like minded people. C: Knowledge is power.
@Xhaosz I am sure you do not know where psychedelics were formed nor do you know the true meaning for them. Sure artists that have done these sorts of things have created great music/art whatever but in reality it fucks up your real imaginative brain function. You cannot sit there and tell me they actually UPGRADE a human being. Pills nowadays are doing the same thing to people at this time, keeping them all distracted from REAL life.
@Deah92fooeee I understand where you're coming from, I used to think all drugs were a waste of human life. But I learned that you shouldn't condemn something you don't understand. When approached in a scholarly and open way, a psychedelic experience can be a life-changing one. I think everybody should live life to the fullest. I'm not asking you to try drugs, but simply keep an open mind.
@Duntbescurred The science of them though makes me scared as i am highly sensitive and can only eat organic things, allergic to lots even one of the basic antidotes on earth called amoxicillin. You are right though i should not condemn something i do not understand but for some people a 'LIFE CHANGE' can come from just being completely natural. You too have to keep an open-mind because you can live to the fullest by being a naturalist. I use to smoke weed so it is not like i hate ALL drugs.
@hezarrc Psychedelics are not related to weed whatsoever so yes i am STILL sensitive and have not conformed to a life that is comfortable to me and me only. You can still be open to life without having to be in the psychedelic world.
@Deah92fooeee Perhaps shrooms then if its about being organic, it doesn't get much more organic than tromping about the woods in search of psilocybin rich fungus. But like I said, I think anything that can make you experience life in a good way is a good thing, do whatever works for you.
@Deah92fooeee erowid.com can give you the true facts and side effects on just about everything from tylenol to meth... lsd isnt known to kill anyone, in fact their has been only less than a handful of deaths associated with it. now a days everyone is "Rolling" though and "Extacy" is wayyyy worse for you, it operates on the same level of meth because it is in fact a methamphetamine... "LSD" is not that bad for a user because it breaks down in the blood stream so rapidly its out of your system
@Deah92fooeee by the time your done feeling its effects... its damages are pretty minute and can be healed overtime, the trick is to use "LSD" moderately and make sure what you are using is in fact LSD and not DML or GHB...
Oh my god stop arguing about the title. You'd understand what it means if you've ever experienced psychedelics. It's too deep for your shallow mind to comprehend. :P

@sonofscars Depends on what you mean by dramatic. I would say a lot of things are more interesting and amazing then the evolution of humans. WE are NOT the center of the universe.
@DillyDallyer102 Actually something is dramatic if we can relate to it. And, being humans, we can more easily relate to other humans, than, say, the horsehead nebula. Call it egocentric if you like, but that'd be plain silly. It'd be like calling a chicken egocentric because it takes more interest in other chickens than in, say, post-war novelists.
@hazaraku I don't think comparing us to chickens is the proper example but I see what you're saying. We as humans can relate to more then just other humans though, like you said it's just easier. It's all about perspective, what one person considers dramatic an outside force may be very unconcerned much like adults views of children crying over or getting excited over something that a mature mind sees as not a big deal.
@azntranc3951 It's the golden ratio, which is represented by phi in shorthand. I would have written it out as a series, but that's a but hard to do on a computer.
@Batabusa Math is a language that can be used to DESCRIBE music, music is sounds put together. The only connection between the two is one is used to quantify things and one is a thing to be quantified.
The 1960s-1990s were the most advancing times in human history, and the video mixed with this track is perfect. It really captures your imagination and senses, thank you for this great work of art.
There IS "intelligence" out there. In fact it's SO intelligent it wants NOTHING to do with its trashy, hairy, polluting neighbors in the cosmos. What could you possibly have to say to something lower than you other than are you edible and can I take your land/water and resources from you?
@Yapostadodat Why does everyone assume, if there are aliens, they're better than us. The only thing that even put the idea in your head, that they are better than us, is silly movies. And most of those movies are based on parallels of the Capitalists looking to steal tribes people's resources. Nothing is new under the sun, even in that imagination of yours
@TheHague67 Well, one could logically conclude that if aliens were capable of contacting us, or visiting us, that it is of low probability they would be at the same or lesser stage of technology.
@BearGlades aliens that move faster than a bird, would be out of our eye sight. but it would explain a lot about paranormal, those voices we hear, or those things we sometimes see out of the corner of our eye, i'm just sayin you know. a couple of astronaughts have seen "things" on the moon, around their space craft etc. and don't even get me started talking about mars, because i think it's quite possible that '''we" are the martians, just think about it before you call me crazy, it makes sense!
@m1kewithaone martians = inhabitants of Mars. we are earthlings. to anyone that doesn't live on Earth, however, we are aliens. we are able to observe things far beyond the speed of birds. voices people hear and undetermined visions have no proof and virtually all can be explained with how the human mind interprets information.
the universe is infinite and there are billions of galaxies. it's unlikely we are the only lifeform. to propose aliens exist is sound, but your reasoning is not.
@edwardshallow well, maybe so. but they say that mars used to have an atmosphere, they have discovered water and ice under ground. and i thought that billions of years ago, when our sun was larger, that would make sense that there was life on mars. as our sun deminishes over billions of years, that planet died. we have discovered paintings of spacemen on caves here on earth, and we had technology far advanced, thousands of years ago. i.e. pyramids, myan calander, etc. anyway, it's just a thought
@MvuaNdege you're right. and in the past, when our sun was much, much bigger than it is today, yeah, back when the earth was still a molten rock, mars had a perfect atmosphere, that supported life. and that's why i can make the statement that "we" are the martians. "we" had to leave mars, a couple billion years ago to come here, and we will need to be able to go back there one day too. a billion years from now, the sun will begin to enlarge once again, and mars will once again, be our salvation.
@m1kewithaone That would be a perfectly reasonable theory--well, arguably--except that two billion year ago "we" were just beginning to work out how to specialize cells, and even one billion years ago "we" were still essentially slime molds. H. sapiens sapiens has only existed on Earth for about 200,000 years.
@MvuaNdege i hear what you're saying, and you may be right. i don't know, and i don't have the answer. i too learned in school, what you are saying right now. but now, today, we are not so sure that this is the way it happened for man. there is a missing link to our past. but i just woke up, and havent had coffee yet so i'm gong to have to give this more thought. at first glance, it's a good point... : ))
@BearGlades right on man. and think about this, why would they want to contact us?? to give us the good news that there really is a god out there? or would it be something more realistic like they are looking for a new place to live because they have to move on, from their burned out planet, and man, earth, looks mighty good, and ripe for the taking. why would they give a shit about us??
@m1kewithaone Why can't they just be curious? "Hey, look at that planet, it's got life on it, let's go check it out?" Why shouldn't they be looking for other life in the same way that we're looking for other life? I don't see why malicious reasons are automatically more "realistic".
@TheHague67 Whether they would be "better" than us by our own moral standards; imagine the human race had advanced beyond the silly little earthbound issues we now face. To do so, we would have to work better with each other first. Rights are now extending further, to more countries and species. It only follows that an alien civilization would have to form some similar moral standard for lifeforms... That is, unless they follow a strict hive mentality, but that would hinder technological advancs
@BearGlades Your theories are still only based around Hollywood drama that has been common place in our minds since we saw our first Spielberg flick. I'm just saying that it would be nearly impossible to contemplate an extraterrestrial civilization, as the only thing we have to base our prior ideas on them would be the restrictions of our own experiences with them; and those experiences are non-existent or nothing at all.
@TheHague67 No, they are based on logic and evolution. I can't say I know how a visiting alien species would think or act. But the very fact that they had located us and got here would show a more advanced technology than we currently have. It would then also be likely that they have a greater capacity for intelligence and foresight. Of course, the majority of alien life is probably less intelligent than us, but then, they wont be contacting us. Like our dogs and cats wont be contacting them.
@BearGlades i like what you say, do you listen to 'coast to coast am"?? the thing that scares me, is when you say that "probably the majority of alien life is .. less intelligent than us". i don't know about that. if the universe is 15 billion yrs. old, and earth is only 4 billion, ?? i mean, do the math. and the fact that there is proof of aliens being here/ haven been here in the past; means to me that there is a way to travel faster than the speed of light. just because we don't know how....
and i think we should wake up to this fact, quit deneying it, because we are just so "small" and open up our minds. think outside the box. look at things around us for instance. a snail, moves so slow, can it see us?? does it even know we exist?? and a bird flew right past my nose the other day, so fast that i couldn't see it.... think about that. so if aliens are moving so fast that we cant see them, we would be moving at a snails pace to them. they could be all around us, which would exp
@Yapostadodat Its seems likely that only a slightly more advanced alien race would want anything to do with our resources, and its improbable that any nearby species would be only slightly more advanced than us. If we were visited by a farther neighbor, they would either have had to live through the long journey, potentially live indefinitely, or figure out a way to quickly travel around the galaxy or universe. If they are eternal, or hav rapid travel, they shouldnt need or want anything from us
@BearGlades they could want us, as a food source. or they could want our planet. and they could live forever. here on earth they have already discovered the gene that controls aging. and they certainly could be far more advanced than us. earth is a young planet and human beings are a very young species. we already have anti gravity vehicles, military and now, the auto company audie, so just think what a civilization only 1000 yrs ahead of us could do. or just 100 yrs. and if they were a million?
@m1kewithaone I'm well read on gerontology, and you are right, we could increase average life expectancy, check out Aubrey de Grey. The science isn't quite there yet, but his theories are sound.
@m1kewithaone Within 1000 years, if we haven't destroyed ourselves, we'd likely have tech to BECOME machine, not just transfer a consciousness, but a process where you could have complete continuity of self, but end up as an immortal machine. Its technically possible(unless u believe in body/mind duality) , and could be designed to use hydrogen as an energy source, which is EVERYWHERE, no need to destroy other planets or lifeforms. A hydrogen powered robotic being could travel almost anywhere.
@BearGlades yeah, and probably a lot sooner than 1000 yrs. too. so then what are those extraterestrials doing up there? watching us to make sure we don't annilate ourselves? i was in the military once, and i heard stories. and one time they disengaged our strategic missles and we had no explination for that occurance. i think our government knows .... they know.
@Yapostadodat i wish you would just listen to what you say. because you just said it man. that is what they would want from us. a new place for "them" to live..
well, you can lead a horse to water, but that horse isn't gonna drink any water if it thinks the water is poison, but then again, the difference between poison and medicine is in the dosage, right? but whatever, i think at this point, we're just kind of beating at a dead horse now or so to speak.
@TerminalFrost Marcus: "The hexagon theme represents that whole idea of being able to see reality for what it is, the raw maths or patterns that make everything. We've always been interested in science and maths. Sometimes music or art or drugs can pull back the curtain for you and reveal the Wizard of Oz, so to speak, busy pushing the levers and pressing buttons. That's what maths is, the wizard. It sounds like nonsense but I'm sure a lot of people know what I'm talking about."

@Batabusa Math is a language that can be used to DESCRIBE music, music is sounds put together. The only connection between the two is one is used to quantify things and one is a thing to be quantified.

There IS "intelligence" out there. In fact it's SO intelligent it wants NOTHING to do with its trashy, hairy, polluting neighbors in the cosmos. What could you possibly have to say to something lower than you other than are you edible and can I take your land/water and resources from you?
Yapostadodat 8 months ago
@Yapostadodat Why does everyone assume, if there are aliens, they're better than us. The only thing that even put the idea in your head, that they are better than us, is silly movies. And most of those movies are based on parallels of the Capitalists looking to steal tribes people's resources. Nothing is new under the sun, even in that imagination of yours
TheHague67 7 months ago
@TheHague67 Well, one could logically conclude that if aliens were capable of contacting us, or visiting us, that it is of low probability they would be at the same or lesser stage of technology.
BearGlades 7 months ago
@BearGlades aliens that move faster than a bird, would be out of our eye sight. but it would explain a lot about paranormal, those voices we hear, or those things we sometimes see out of the corner of our eye, i'm just sayin you know. a couple of astronaughts have seen "things" on the moon, around their space craft etc. and don't even get me started talking about mars, because i think it's quite possible that '''we" are the martians, just think about it before you call me crazy, it makes sense!

m1kewithaone 7 months ago
@shanjoker no, you aint seen crazy yet, i got more!! lol : )
m1kewithaone 7 months ago
@m1kewithaone martians = inhabitants of Mars. we are earthlings. to anyone that doesn't live on Earth, however, we are aliens. we are able to observe things far beyond the speed of birds. voices people hear and undetermined visions have no proof and virtually all can be explained with how the human mind interprets information.
the universe is infinite and there are billions of galaxies. it's unlikely we are the only lifeform. to propose aliens exist is sound, but your reasoning is not.
edwardshallow 6 months ago
@edwardshallow well, maybe so. but they say that mars used to have an atmosphere, they have discovered water and ice under ground. and i thought that billions of years ago, when our sun was larger, that would make sense that there was life on mars. as our sun deminishes over billions of years, that planet died. we have discovered paintings of spacemen on caves here on earth, and we had technology far advanced, thousands of years ago. i.e. pyramids, myan calander, etc. anyway, it's just a thought
m1kewithaone 6 months ago
@m1kewithaone Mars still does have an atmosphere. It has weather. You need an atmosphere to have weather.
MvuaNdege 6 months ago
@MvuaNdege you're right. and in the past, when our sun was much, much bigger than it is today, yeah, back when the earth was still a molten rock, mars had a perfect atmosphere, that supported life. and that's why i can make the statement that "we" are the martians. "we" had to leave mars, a couple billion years ago to come here, and we will need to be able to go back there one day too. a billion years from now, the sun will begin to enlarge once again, and mars will once again, be our salvation.
m1kewithaone 6 months ago 3
@m1kewithaone That would be a perfectly reasonable theory--well, arguably--except that two billion year ago "we" were just beginning to work out how to specialize cells, and even one billion years ago "we" were still essentially slime molds. H. sapiens sapiens has only existed on Earth for about 200,000 years.
MvuaNdege 6 months ago
@MvuaNdege i hear what you're saying, and you may be right. i don't know, and i don't have the answer. i too learned in school, what you are saying right now. but now, today, we are not so sure that this is the way it happened for man. there is a missing link to our past. but i just woke up, and havent had coffee yet so i'm gong to have to give this more thought. at first glance, it's a good point... : ))

m1kewithaone 5 months ago
@BearGlades right on man. and think about this, why would they want to contact us?? to give us the good news that there really is a god out there? or would it be something more realistic like they are looking for a new place to live because they have to move on, from their burned out planet, and man, earth, looks mighty good, and ripe for the taking. why would they give a shit about us??
m1kewithaone 6 months ago
@m1kewithaone Why can't they just be curious? "Hey, look at that planet, it's got life on it, let's go check it out?" Why shouldn't they be looking for other life in the same way that we're looking for other life? I don't see why malicious reasons are automatically more "realistic".
MvuaNdege 6 months ago
@TheHague67 Whether they would be "better" than us by our own moral standards; imagine the human race had advanced beyond the silly little earthbound issues we now face. To do so, we would have to work better with each other first. Rights are now extending further, to more countries and species. It only follows that an alien civilization would have to form some similar moral standard for lifeforms... That is, unless they follow a strict hive mentality, but that would hinder technological advancs
BearGlades 7 months ago
@BearGlades Your theories are still only based around Hollywood drama that has been common place in our minds since we saw our first Spielberg flick. I'm just saying that it would be nearly impossible to contemplate an extraterrestrial civilization, as the only thing we have to base our prior ideas on them would be the restrictions of our own experiences with them; and those experiences are non-existent or nothing at all.
TheHague67 7 months ago
@TheHague67 No, they are based on logic and evolution. I can't say I know how a visiting alien species would think or act. But the very fact that they had located us and got here would show a more advanced technology than we currently have. It would then also be likely that they have a greater capacity for intelligence and foresight. Of course, the majority of alien life is probably less intelligent than us, but then, they wont be contacting us. Like our dogs and cats wont be contacting them.
BearGlades 7 months ago
@BearGlades Yeah maybe YOUR dog won't be contacting them, but MY dog gets shit done, SON. Like alien communication and shit, yo.
TheHague67 7 months ago
@BearGlades i like what you say, do you listen to 'coast to coast am"?? the thing that scares me, is when you say that "probably the majority of alien life is .. less intelligent than us". i don't know about that. if the universe is 15 billion yrs. old, and earth is only 4 billion, ?? i mean, do the math. and the fact that there is proof of aliens being here/ haven been here in the past; means to me that there is a way to travel faster than the speed of light. just because we don't know how....
m1kewithaone 7 months ago
and i think we should wake up to this fact, quit deneying it, because we are just so "small" and open up our minds. think outside the box. look at things around us for instance. a snail, moves so slow, can it see us?? does it even know we exist?? and a bird flew right past my nose the other day, so fast that i couldn't see it.... think about that. so if aliens are moving so fast that we cant see them, we would be moving at a snails pace to them. they could be all around us, which would exp
m1kewithaone 7 months ago
@TheHague67 if those alliens are here, ....... then they are "better" than us.
m1kewithaone 6 months ago
@Yapostadodat Its seems likely that only a slightly more advanced alien race would want anything to do with our resources, and its improbable that any nearby species would be only slightly more advanced than us. If we were visited by a farther neighbor, they would either have had to live through the long journey, potentially live indefinitely, or figure out a way to quickly travel around the galaxy or universe. If they are eternal, or hav rapid travel, they shouldnt need or want anything from us
BearGlades 7 months ago
@BearGlades they could want us, as a food source. or they could want our planet. and they could live forever. here on earth they have already discovered the gene that controls aging. and they certainly could be far more advanced than us. earth is a young planet and human beings are a very young species. we already have anti gravity vehicles, military and now, the auto company audie, so just think what a civilization only 1000 yrs ahead of us could do. or just 100 yrs. and if they were a million?
m1kewithaone 7 months ago
@m1kewithaone I'm well read on gerontology, and you are right, we could increase average life expectancy, check out Aubrey de Grey. The science isn't quite there yet, but his theories are sound.
BearGlades 7 months ago
@BearGlades sheesh, i do need to go back to school...
m1kewithaone 7 months ago
@m1kewithaone Within 1000 years, if we haven't destroyed ourselves, we'd likely have tech to BECOME machine, not just transfer a consciousness, but a process where you could have complete continuity of self, but end up as an immortal machine. Its technically possible(unless u believe in body/mind duality) , and could be designed to use hydrogen as an energy source, which is EVERYWHERE, no need to destroy other planets or lifeforms. A hydrogen powered robotic being could travel almost anywhere.
BearGlades 7 months ago
@BearGlades yeah, and probably a lot sooner than 1000 yrs. too. so then what are those extraterestrials doing up there? watching us to make sure we don't annilate ourselves? i was in the military once, and i heard stories. and one time they disengaged our strategic missles and we had no explination for that occurance. i think our government knows .... they know.
m1kewithaone 7 months ago
@Yapostadodat i wish you would just listen to what you say. because you just said it man. that is what they would want from us. a new place for "them" to live..

well, you can lead a horse to water, but that horse isn't gonna drink any water if it thinks the water is poison, but then again, the difference between poison and medicine is in the dosage, right? but whatever, i think at this point, we're just kind of beating at a dead horse now or so to speak.

@TerminalFrost In an NME interview with one of the BOC artists Marucs Eoin he was asked "what is the significance of hexagons to you?" he replies
Serotoninflux90 8 months ago
@TerminalFrost Marcus: "The hexagon theme represents that whole idea of being able to see reality for what it is, the raw maths or patterns that make everything. We've always been interested in science and maths. Sometimes music or art or drugs can pull back the curtain for you and reveal the Wizard of Oz, so to speak, busy pushing the levers and pressing buttons. That's what maths is, the wizard. It sounds like nonsense but I'm sure a lot of people know what I'm talking about."
