Ghostfire562 has no idea what hes on about. Of course Greenday will never perform these songs as well as the Ramones, Thats why its a tribute. Greendays early stuff is just as good as there recent stuff but as times change so does music. This Emo/Scremo trend is far beyond a joke who ever heard of Emotional Punk. Ghostfire562 has no idea what hes on about. Of course Greenday will never perform these songs as well as the Ramones, Thats why its a tribute. Greendays early stuff is just as good as there recent stuff but as times change so does music. This Emo/Scremo trend is far beyond a joke who ever heard of Emotional Punk. Punk music used to be about not giving a F#@K not about being upset etc. So in my opinon Greenday has kept to there routes and maybe there music is mainstream, but there still Punk.

@ghostfire562 there's no such thing as a sellout band imo (sorry @ghostfire52) it's called exploring new styles in music, no band has to stay in their niche- green day started as punk, moved into alternative, and then became pop-punk with their latest album
i'm pretty sure no one called the beatles sellouts when they did sgt pepper or magical mystery tour, or even their movies
