We also used to sing Urban Spaceman in assemblies in the school I used to work in. More superfluous but important information.
@TheAlienesque Actually the other way around. McCartney was hugely influenced by the Bonzos (and ideed played on Urban Spaceman) - consider what the Beatles were doing in 1966 in comparison
@MagickTemplRodney Slater and John Lennon went to art college together, also. John Lennon's phrase of 'Like it Or Lump It' was parodied by Rodney, who had a t-shirt painted with simply 'Lump It, John'. Neil was a good frined of George Harrison's, and also Monty Python, since the Bonzos collaborated with Idle, Pail and Jones on 'Do not Adjust your Set'.
