  • Neil Innes is in our Arts Centre soon. I just thought I'd share that with you. You don't know where it is. You're probably not interested. But it's true.

We also used to sing Urban Spaceman in assemblies in the school I used to work in. More superfluous but important information.

  • Fantastic - I Would like to know where an when this was. I agree it was not the famous New Faces TV programme of the 1970s

  • @TheAlienesque Actually the other way around. McCartney was hugely influenced by the Bonzos (and ideed played on Urban Spaceman) - consider what the Beatles were doing in 1966 in comparison

  • @MagickTemplRodney Slater and John Lennon went to art college together, also. John Lennon's phrase of 'Like it Or Lump It' was parodied by Rodney, who had a t-shirt painted with simply 'Lump It, John'. Neil was a good frined of George Harrison's, and also Monty Python, since the Bonzos collaborated with Idle, Pail and Jones on 'Do not Adjust your Set'.

  • This is NOT NEW FACES - which started in 1973 and the bonzos would have none of as it was crap.......

  • Neil on a child's rocking horse singing his song in clown's gear ~ very progressive! Little Sir Echo is hilarious!! Thanks for the upload.

  • Brilliant why havent I seen this before?
