  • When are you going to have this route done by...I would love a copy of it.

  • My rough estimate is October. The track work can probably be done in 2 months or so but then there's the scenery work. That could take a while. Hopefully I can get it out earlier though.

  • i'd like a copy of this route as well...when its done, will you be putting it on the train-sim website?

  • Yes. :D

  • OMG I need HELP!!! I made an MSTS video with fraps and the file size cam out to 185MB! do you know anyway to fix it? because youtubes limit is 100MB

  • How long is the video?

  • never mind i think i got it :D

  • It failed because of an Unsuported codec

  • What did you use to record it?

  • Um... I used fraps, and it came out as an .avi file

  • Open up Windows Movie Maker, put the AVI file in there, and save it. It will them be in WMV form. :)

  • @murjax

Depends on the settings - you can save AVIs in movie maker - though that should be clear by the ginormous file size.

I do understand why people save in wmv, I personally dislike ti though - too much quality loss in most of the settings... just wish Youtube could up the upload size and length restriction.

  • Is this gonna be up on train-sim dot com?

  • Yes.

  • will this extension be availible for download.

  • The whole thing will be availible for download as a package. Don't expect it out for a few months though. I still have lots of track work ahead of me and then there's the scenery place so it will still be a while.

  • ok :D

  • Sweet! That means Milford, CT too!

  • Nice job so far. But, how do you create new routes?

  • Route Editor

  • Thanks.

  • You'll need to use the Route Geometry Extractor first though. Open up the help page for more info on how to use it.

  • I did try that but for some reason, those blue squares came up at Marias Pass.

  • That would happen if you opened up the Marias Pass Quad-Tree.

  • pretty good so far, was the first one old saybrook?

  • Yes.
