No, I did not have to modify the tires. This is a pre Evo version of the MCD I am not sure if any modifications are needed on the newer versions (Evo 2 or 3) of the MCD.
They are FG stadium tires and wheels. I dont remember the gearing I was running in that video, but it was probably 33,30,26,23 for the 1000 setup and 27,36,23,26 on the MT setup.
It depends on what you mean by performance. If you are referring to speed than a 2wd will be quicker than a 4wd, depending on the car and its setup of course. If you check out my latest MCD MT video you will see it is much quicker off the line. It all depends on the gearing, pipe, and engine choice. I would gladly loose some speed to get the performance a 4wd gives me. The quickest 4wd I have is the FG Baja Comp; you get both speed and performance.
you have 30.5cc engine in the MCD MT rite cause i'm looking to get one real soon i hope the truck is not a slug on performance.any feedback would be great,BTW it s a nice looking truck nice driving.
Thanks, it is a 30.5cc engine. I like my MCD, it is a good truck. The only major problems I have had with it are the diffs. This is a pre Evo version and I am told the newer Evo 3s have an updated diff which is suppose to be tougher than the version I have. I would recommend the LSD MCD sells as an option; I have put one in the front and havent had a problem with it since.
The truck smacked right into my wife's shin, ouch!!! I originally preferred the Baja setup, but the more I drive it as the MT the more I like it better than the Baja setup. If you want an MCD I say go for it, after all its only money, I doubt you will be disappointed. After all, I am sure you dropped more money into you alloy FG MB then you care to admit. I would probably go with the new EVO 3 Baja, if I were buying one today.
That wheel wanted a life of its own bye bye baja
