  • Esta es una transcripción de Mahler a una orquesta de cuerdas de una pieza originalmente escrita para un cuarteto de cuerdas. Hay muchas obras de Schubert que tienen transcripciones (adaptaciones) realizadas por compositores famosos.

  • .... that was awful

  • alguien sabe decirme por que dice "mahler" ahi? no es de schubert la obra?

I don't understand why it says "mahler" there, I thought this was schubert only

  • very good the rythm is perfect except one thing the cello part played by doble bass too

  • @mouthmouse of courser there is added double bass for cello line, thats Mahler's contribution, IT IS AN ARRANGEMENT!!!

  • thank you very much for the upload! impressive that this is no professional orchestra.

  • What's with the string orchestra hype in Japan? Seems like they like to play everything in string orchestra arrangements over there, at least that's the impression I get here on UT. Not a bad thing per se, but this particular performance is not stellar...

  • TCP is not a professional orchestra and mostly made up of non-music major college students and young businessmen.

    How fascinating.

  • Thanks for pointing this out, it's not bad for amateurs! I play in chamber orchestras like this myself from time to time. But can you tell me more about the apparent fashion of string orchestras in Japan? I've seen many of the "classic" chamber works on YouTube arranged and performed by predominantly asian string orchestras. In comparison, I see relatively few Japanese small chamber ensembles (quartets etc) here on YouTube, for example... interesting!

  • They have a *very* nice venue for amateurs.

  • thanks
