Thanks for your comments. You ask a good question re: Marilyn's career. I think this duet is one of the best from Solid Gold, which in a way was her career into the 80's. Superb vocal color, lush tone, and good match of song to her 'style'. It would have been great if one of the singles from "Solid Gold" had soared up the charts -- that probably would have lead to another album in the 80's. Check out "Heart Stop Beating in Time" and "I Believe in You and Me", both singles from her 1983 album.

It`s good to chat with another McCoo fan.I have to admit I didn`t watch a lot of Solid Gold when it was on,mainly because it was a program of "covers" of other people`s songs. I missed some good performances. My favorite will always be "One Less Bell" and I still get goosebumps when I hear it. And when I see her perform, well all the other people`s comments say it all don`t they. And this for a performer who hasn`t had a hit in over 30 years...thanks.

@piles...that's funny, same thing here. I was like 8 or 10 when it was on and I would be irritated when she would sing the no. 9 song (or whatever) bc I wanted to hear the originals. When Solid Gold ended, I never saw her again and I never knew her before. It wasn't until yrs later I realized she was a major star in her own right, not just a 1st-rate bombshell karaoke singer

Going through these old clips, some of them aren't too bad actually. Her Hall & Oates "One on One" is terrible though
