When you think about it, UGA should own GT in football. GT, a very strong school academically, is surrounded by SEC schools with weak academics that accept way too many dumb kids (like UGA) which allows more alumni to contribute to the athletic department financially. In addition, UGA treats its players like athlete-students, while GT treats them like student-athletes. Why would players wanna go to GT then if they wish to fulfill a career in football after college?

As a UGA alum, it was laughable how bad our defense looked Saturday. They are one of the worst tackling and least disciplined teams I have EVER seen. I am seriously questioning now if we are even attempting to coach up our players (considering most it not all of them are 4-5 star recruits).
However, I will give credit where credit is due. Paul Johnson is an excellent head coach and what he has done with that program this year is very commendable.Tech played a better game and deserved to win.

As a UGA alum, it was laughable how bad our defense looked Saturday. They are one of the worst tackling and least disciplined teams I have EVER seen. I am seriously questioning now if we are even attempting to coach up our players (considering most it not all of them are 4-5 star recruits).
However, I will give credit where credit is due. Paul Johnson is an excellent head coach and what he has done with that program this year is very commendable.Tech played a better game and deserved to win.

No, I'll gloat now. At this point in time, the best team in the State of Georgia is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Congrats on the last 7 years, but this year we are superior. And we have that whole team returning to beat a Logan Gray led Georgia team, with Caleb King as his running back. Holy shit I can't wait until next year.

A national won during World War II is pretty irrelevant now, dont ya think? And you are wrong about the number of national titles, Tech has only 2 (1 of which was only in one poll and is highly questionable in 1990) while UGA has at least 2.
And guess what? UGA is still going to a better bowl than you! The "toilet bowl" you refer is actually called the "Capital One Bowl" and picks 2nd from the SEC, while the "Peach Bowl" which tech is going to, picks 5th from the SEC!

Ill be at tech next year, and i got into both schools. The choice was easy, im there to make money not for football. You may have us at sports but never in academics.(Tech#7 UGA#20 in public universitys) Im a hell of an engineer till i die.

If Mark Richt is such an "Amazing" Football Coach, than how come Mark Richt can't graduate his football players?? Only 38% of the football team actually graduates. we have the best defensive line in the ACC and one of the best in country. We are also very deep at linebacker and when healthy the group is very solid.

the ACC has had more players drafted in the NFL on defense than any other conference since 2000 and despite the overall view of the conference has VERY good defenses. The conference is offensively challenged but the ACC boys can hit you...just ask Tim Tebow.
