@Hrafn22 Yes, providing the food and other basic needs for the people is the most important task of the government in my opinion as well. I think that most of the tension between the countries in the region was generated by the faulty domestic politics of every affected country. So basicly the problems from inside the countries led to or turned into inter-state conflicts. That way our governments are to blame for this situation and they should and have to try making it better.
@Hrafn22 It is always difficult to find a person for president whom everyone supports but in general I agree that a woman can be sometimes more accepted just because it is a woman. We have had two very lame presidents in a row too (Mádl and Sólyom) so it probably can't be much worse. There are romours that maybe Pál Schmitt will be the next president. (He is the president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee and a European Parliament member for Fidesz)
@salak18 Do you think that what I stated is enough as defence? I mean what I mention about water supplies and large "factory" of fruit, vegetables and cereals. Though our silly government ignores the support of companies who grow food in our country and support importers instead of them. I think that Orbán´s intension is to support domestic companies and producers, what I see as perfect step, but also bears a risk cause you still have to keep competition at a market.
@Hrafn22 You are right, Orbán says he will do everythiong to support and protect the domestic farmers and agricultural produicers and he also wants to limit the amount of land foreigners can buy in Hungary. These are absolutely rational steps but it can lead to some political conflicts with the Eu and the common market. But for us Hungarians it would be a great advantage and we wouldn't have to import that much. I guess it's kind of the same situation as you have in Slovakia.
@salak18 Give me an example where our fans behaved so primitively!!! I´m waiting! As you want to point on fan clubs of Slovan Bratislava and Spartak Trnava, it´s matter of our nation, our two stupid fan clubs who hate each other... I am not into their stupid game they play, they´re not there for sport! Also you have such conflicts betwwen fans in England, Czech rep. (Prague teams Sparta and Slavia), Hungarian footbal team in Budapest so this is something what has to solved within the country.
By saying international forums this time spicifically I wasn't talking about sport events but politics, like not letting the president of Hungary cross the boarder which is like unprecedented. But as you know every sport club and EVERY nation has a group of hooligans and bastards who don't go to sport events to cheer their team but only for making some trouble. But they are the minority of the fans everywhere , in the case of Hungary as well.
@Hrafn22 You are right, it was very unfair and disgusting that a bunch of people boo-ed the national anthem of Slovakia and they should be banned for that, but that is impossible. But the majority of the Hungarian fans was behaving like a real fan, cheering for the team and singing all week long, because it was a huge-huge thing for us that we could participate in the A group again after 70 years even if we knew we didn't have a big chance to stay there.
@Hrafn22 And those fans made a hell of an atmosphere in Switzerland, most of the teams and fans from other countries never saw anything like that and they made a real celebration for the whole country and showed that supporting can be this good. So I agree with you on the anthem-thing but they were only a very small part of the Hungarian supporters and the rest was amazing as far as I'm concerned.
@salak18 Sure, this is fact that some teams can just be grudged upon, cause US or Canada fans need to play at home and have at least 15000-18000 fans to make such atmosphere. Still I don´t understand why some idiots in Hungary think that changing borders will make it better for Hungary?! We´re in EU so the borders are away. I know some people from south of Slovakia, have there family, and they told me that they left Hungary and moved there cause here´s better life.
Unfortunately there are (and probably always will be) some far-right groups who just don't get that in the 21st century it is not a real option to change the borders as it has legally been set. Of course most of the Hungarian people (including me) regret losing more than 66% of the country"s territory in 1920 but most them also understand that it cannot be changed today under these legal circumstances we live in and most us accept that. But there are some people who just don't :(
@salak18 But do you know our history? He wasn´t going on an official visit, he was going to lay a wreath to the statue of once Uharia´s king Stefan, he was doing this particullary on the date when we (Slovakia) commemorate the occupation of our land by Soviet army in the year 1968, where also Hungarian army forces participated. It is like mockery for us, cause once we were occupied by nacists, then by communists. It is must be "perfect" to be attacked by someone for centuries :((
Yes, I've read about that, but I think it is still not a good thing to ban a head of state of any country today in Europe. Has he never visited that statue on this day in the years before? I understand it is a painful day for you but I think with not letting him enter Slovakia made the tension even bigger between our countries and I suppose they wanted to reduce that by not letting him in. So if he entered it would have had the same effect than it had this way :(
We were also occupied by the nazis and the soviets as well (and by the turks for 150 years) so I perfectly understands how you feel about that. Let's hope things get better between our countries soon. (But with the results of the elections here it will be really hard in my opinion)
Actually there is not much to be proud here these days. That's why people are hungry for these kind of ultimate successes. Its a celebration of succes that our hockey with division1 level background managed to get to the top division.
By the way, I am the drummer with the black drum :)
i was working their as a volunteer in Kloten and you fans from hungry where amazing...!!!! Best fans in the World !!!
By the way you with drumms your a real fan...i remember i was there :-) and keep on doing it.. You fans where the best thing from the worldchampionships.
To be honest, in hungary, ice hockey is not very supported...unfortunately!
Most of these players are professional, but there are a few who aren't. F.ex.: Csaba JÁNOSI is a teacher in a high school in Budapest, and in his free time he plays hockey in hungarian national league...moreover hungarian national league is not very good, there are only 5 teams...lack of a hugh amount ...if we got money like in USA or in Russia, we would play in DIV I all!
Egyébként természetesen nem gond h felraktad csak nem tudtam rájönni, hogy hogyan kerül a videó ki tőlem :) Lehet, hogy az 5 frankos sör az oka???? :)
