  • beautiful lyrics and song *.* (LLLLLLLLLL)

  • this song made my child hood. it was what what was prepubecence ,. to me..... i was so young. and the song helped me get there

  • im back in a band now, bearing in mind that im 36,and im playing new original stuff like this....i left rock years ago when down on your luck grunge turned up...never had the feel good factor that this music had.england was always 20 years behind america,im gonna get rid of the hair thing and just bring fukin good songwriting back!!!!

  • In 1990 Slaughter hit radio, MTV and the U.S. touring circuit like a tornado- coming seemingly out of nowhere to roll through everything in its path and turn it upside down. Touring the world with bands that they loved, Kiss, Ozzy, and others meant the good times were just a song away , and their first hit single, "Up All Night" certainly fit into that mold, their second chart-topper, "Fly To The Angels" was more representative of the spirituality

  • i sooooooooooooooo agree with beakermary1661 im 14 luv this shit

  • rock on 80s metal

  • @johnnyman100 What kind of heartless jerk would make such a crude comment? Do u have the fame and fortune that these guys achieved? jealousy is an evil thing, and u need to deal with it. ever heard of Karma? what goes around comes around. ill pray for u tonight, cuz u need it. peace and love rip

  • in the hands of the big wigs payin temp workers to do the work while they got rich when I quit it cost them 23cent to make a cd packaged and the artist made $2-$4.00 a cd and emi got the rest If you made a million or so cd's you were a big deal if you didnt they could care less about the artist

  • The record company happened they didnt know it was comin and sqeezed as hard as they could and sucked everyone dry who do you think got richer the musicians or the record companies think the independant artist just poped up out of knowhere I worked at capitol records before and after emi before cds and after cd's and watched it crumble

  • greed with technology killed the record companies not to mention rap they knew they would never get signed and took it on there own to make themselves rich and I dont blame them and not to mention the maria carey deal emi signed I blame alot of it on the Big Wigs Larry Tab was the man and could see the future he left and went to CBS then emi went to hell N Jacksonville IL they sould of listen to Larry he was a wonderful guy and knew business

  • hair bands should come back

  • and then came Nirvana and changed the music road map, and no more hair bands.

  • This song is so sad , but beautiful!!!

  • The band started in the late 80's but did not release this song or first album until the 90's so technically..... not a true 80's band.

  • I'm still remember the first time I saw this band, good times!!!

  • One of the best bands of the 80's. Mark Slaughter had a vocal range from hell and the perfect voice for rock.

  • R.I.P Timotthy Patrick Kelly January 13th, 1963 - Febrary 5th, 1998 , born into eternal life !

  • Vinnie Vincent would've rocked the shit out of this song.

  • (L) Mark

  • i dedicate this song to ann virgili who passed away today and will be greatly missed by her family love you gran. michael

  • Slaughter is the sh**!!! Love 'em!!!

  • Ah the 80s. I was born too late (84) to remember most of that time. But damn if Slaughter doesn't take me back to when I was a little kid. Now THIS is what a power ballad should sound like!

  • Love these guys, great video, my son even loved them when he was little, how couldn't you love them, the singer is soooooooooooo hot

  • miss those times

  • I can't believe this song is almost 20 years old. It makes me fucking sick...

  • yes, you're old

  • I believe it was 1990 wasn't it?

  • Yup, according to Wikipedia, the album came out on January 27, 1990.

  • This video was done when vids had emotion and an actual thought process. Of course they had "Up all night" efore this but before this Mark and Dana were in Vinnie Vincents Invasion. ."Love Kills" from the Nightmare soundtrack was what broke them into the spotlight. Also Dana Strumm was one of the musicians that played the intro to the huge radio show "Rockline" during the late 80's early 90's as per Dana. Great tune. Wish I was 20 again.

  • time goes by fast, doesn't it?

  • soo many memories from back in the day...

  • OMG we were all so young back then. Brings back memories.

  • yeah the 80's rule!!!

  • he wrote this song because on a trip home to visit his mother he was told of an old female friend who had died

  • I Really love this song!!! They do it with such great emotion (and he hits some notes that sounds like Robert Plant). They are Great Musicians, Songwriters, and Performers!!! 5*****'s~ Favorite!!!

  • one of the most underated bands of all time...

the album "stick it to ya" is fucking ace.

    i really miss proper rock.

  • Rock will never die, is not a fashion... is an attitude. It is in our hearts and minds and will last forever.

  • MARK CAN FUCKIN SING!!!!

  • GOD BLESS YOU MOM!

  • how did such great bands from the 80's got replaced by the likes of spliknot!!

  • Record company big-wigs are all money driven mutha fuckers...you are right..what the fuck happend?..the 80's ruled

  • money wrecks everything, it seems, or maybe just greed.....

  • Mark Slaughter, Damn i miss those days back at Rock 'N' Roll Heaven in T.O.

  • oh i miss my hair

  • grow it back

  • If you guys(SLAUGHTER)read the comments here, please come to Rocklahoma 2009!!!! I never got to see you in my youth and now I want my 21 year old daughter to experience Slaughter with me! 80's FOREVER!!!!!!!!

  • Great Band. Only 2 members left. Guitarist killed in car accident in 1998 and the drummer just died of heart attack in oct 2008. God does life go by fast.

  • I always wondered what he whispered at the end

  • My girlfriend back then was all into this stuff while I was all Anthrax, Slayer, and Testament. We used to "bang" to this all the time, damn she was a hot little babe. The singer and bassist were at one time in Vinnie Vincent's Invasion in 1985. Their hair was huge!

  • una chimba de cancion me ace tener orgasmos jajaja

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    fuck it rock out!!!!!!

  • i agree with beakermary1661 ^.^

  • Being a drummer and guitar player the 80's had some great hard rock metal bands then all a sudden they were gone. mtv gone to crap! wtf! lot of the younger guitar players are playing this stuff like ozzy, sabbath type of rock I see a come back sometime! I hope at least.

  • Cool and AWEsome

    i wish a had a voice lyk

    ^_^

  • I love this song so much! Rock & Metal are the only kinds of music!

  • I am 12, and I hate the rap, hip - hop crap. I think the kids my age are stupid for listning to it. They should listen to music like slaughter, and other rock bands.

  • @beakermary1661 your god damn right kid, i'm 15 and that's all i listen to, ROCK, i've seen zz top, kiss, van halen, etc. greatest concerts...at least some kids have taste in music still.

  • I dont care what anyone says, this song is the shit! Im 27 and lived through the Glam rock, Hair band, Grunge era, Still Slaughter is Timeless.......

  • Lol!!!! you were only 5 years old at the hair band peak... nice try

  • Ha, It does'nt Take a Moron to figure out people are born with ear's. You don't grow em at five. Besides I had an older brother who had all the tapes, Metalica, Ozzy, Slayer, Poisin, Motle Crew, Warrant, White Snake, Cinderella, Megadeath, Anthrax Etc.

  • I'm the same way. I'm 26 my brother is going to be 39 in September. So I literally grew up listening to hair band music. My first concert was Warrant opening for Poison when I was like 7 or 8.

  • Sweet! I'm glad to see other people in my age group(i'm 29)that enjoyed the same music growing up. My good friend and I were kinda like rock n'roll outcasts back in 5th grade, lol. And at 10 years old I saw my 1st concert-Britny Fox,Lita Ford, and Poison. Good times! Take care. PeacexXx!!!

  • honestly...kids these days miss what can be technically termed good music...with all the utter bullshit going on these days...

  • I was born in 88 so kids my age are listening to the new rap and what not. My math teacher told me I was living in the wrong generation because I love this stuff

  • i graduated in 88 and some of this stuff is really marked by the period it came from

  • OMG-I loved this band!!!!What a blast from the past!!!!5*Wow time flies!!!!Thanks for the "trip" back:)

  • it's funny im a 27 year old hip hop addict but i was like 12 when this came out and i loved it

  • Slaughters first record hit in 1990 and was HUGE. A year later Nirvana came to town and brought all of their friends from Seattle and put an ass whoppin' on all of the ballad bands. I always felt sorry for the bands that came out during '89-'91. They never really got the chance to live it up like the early hair bands. Dispite being a grunge kid I've always liked '80s hard rock(not hair metal) like Slaughter,SkidRow and GnR.

  • Hell dude I seen Slaughter and Fire House in 91" at the shrine mosk,in Springfield Mo,

they carved it up pretty good, great show I thought, but You are right-short lived...

  • wanted dead or alive, uncle toms cabin, fly to the angels, 18 and life, i remember you, lay it down, round and round

  • I love SLAUGHTER but think how would this sound with Vinnie Vincent on guitar? Would it sound like something on All Systems fo? I think so.

  • I LOVE SLAUGHTER!!!!!!

  • Did you know this vid is about Amelia Airhart..

sp is wrong... cheek the lyrics and check the memoirs,,, -something tell me she was abducted by aliens.. never found nothing..

    same for the microsoft guy..

    just something to think about

  • Greatest hairband voice ever.....

    Enough said....

  • I THINK SO TOO

  • guilty pleasure

  • Went to Slaughter & Firehouse concert Springfeild Mo "91" it was bad ass.

  • and i saw them live in atlanta ga in the same year kick ass

  • this was the first song i heard by them. i remember watching it on mtv. great song. brings back memories

  • this song brings me back as much as Alice or T.Rex. Great Song.

  • en cuanto esta el boleto de avion a los angeles???

  • he has a an AWESOME voice.

  • Tim I climbed the peak today, in memory of your birthday. It was Crystal Clear, you could see all of LA, the ocean, and Catalina.

If you knew Tim you would know the peak I am talking about R. I. P. your friend Jamie D.

  • aww

  • God did I love this song back in 1992...still brings back good memories...this was the only song that really did it for me with these guys ...

  • it was 1990 from the cd stick it to you

  • Is it just me or is 'Slaughter' the worst band name ever for a band such as Slaughter. lol.

  • Thats cuz their singer's name is Mark Slaughter.

  • Yeah but still.. When that idea was brought to the table as a band name, How can they 'practically a glam band' have thought.. heyy that sounds good

  • Ey Ey Eyyyy, Metal is still class but not as in the shitty stuff, im on about Lamb Of God, BFMV, Trivium hell yeah.

Though i agree they'll never match upto stuff like Megadeth Metallica Motorhead etccc.

  • long live slaughter

  • To the woman at 3:48...will you marry me? I'll leave my wife for you. I've wanted you for almost 20 years now!!!!!

  • That looks like a male guitarist to me.

  • The chick in the white.. sure. Why not?

  • It's more like 3:47.. but yer close

  • I love this song and video. I used to think Elias was so cute. I only liked this song and "up all night." I tried to like their other stuff but it wasn't as good.

  • i like it

  • how can anyone forget this beautiful song¡¡¡

  • I even had the album with this song in the early 1990s and I forgot! I listened to gospel up until recently but I just discovered that Youtube has a lot of music so I am going through all the hair metal songs that I used to like and Whallopp!! I stumbled upon this song once again after over a decade.

  • Oh my, Gospel? Listen to me. There are people in the world that love you. You don't have to do this. There are ways to get help. Its not worth it. Please think of your family.....and listen to more 87-92 rock!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey I totally forgot this song existed!!

  • Up all night is their other great song.

  • Great song! It's on the Ballads CD from Musicspace! Great stuff!

  • Wow! This guy is a good singer! Or is this just a good production?

  • singer

  • This song reminds me of simpler times.

  • u guys thought mark was better off with slaughter or invasion?

  • with slaughter

  • I like both bands alot. But i love Slaughter and Vincent. So VVI

  • Coste (RIP) now i got to fly to the angels, where you are right now... wait for me baby. I love you baby I can't wait to be right next to you. To Amor mi Gordo lindo

  • very cool ballad!very cool time at the scool!thanks for the memories!

  • I have the VHS video called SLAUGHTER "FROM THE BEGINNING" and Mark said he had an old girlfriend from

highshool and he wanted to get back with with her. He got his friends to try to locate her and he got a call back two days later and his friend said that the girl Cindy had died two days ago. Mark did get to go to the funeral. He said the song was about letting go of someting you really care about. I love this song!

  • damn thats sad poor mark :((((((

  • hey, I'm in a band and this is what we're playing at my schools battle of the bands...so im a pretty big fan. the only thing about it is that nobody besides me and my friends know who slaughter is...thats sad...

    anyways...Slaughter=Amazing Band

    It's me and my girl's song :D

  • ye there all into dead music most of the young ppl dont realize classic stuff

  • I'm 13- and this i the stuff i listen to

  • me too

  • I'm not alone!

  • there is always more.

  • haha, same age, same music for me too!

  • its good to see kids coming up enjoying good ole rock, rather than alot of the junk you hear over the sound waves today.....

  • Hey gang. yes he was inspired by a girlfriend but the main subject is Amelia Earhart, the famous woman, well above most women or men in her days that almost completed the first solo around the world flight when she and he co pilot were lost in the pacific. The plane in the back (video) is a replica of the electra she flew

  • really... that is amazing... did not know that.. coool!!!I learn something new everyday!! have a great day.. cya around michelle :)

  • this band hasnt been the same since tim kelly died. i saw them a few years ago, and their new guitar player tried to showboat way too much. he was the exact opposite of tim, and didnt fit at all. slaughter was a great band tho. who else saw blas in the movie rockstar?

  • Oh, if that song was about his neice..omg. It's a

really beautiful song..I always liked this band.

  • right on man, whatever it's about...it rocks.
