I saw him in person in a 2 hour performance. He was very entertaining and informative. He is very intelligent & is able to see the absurdities of politics and expose them in a humorous way. First of all, the bill had to be signed in order for government to continue running. This bill was left over from the Bush administration. With all the things that Congress has to deal with (like the economy), to bog it down with old business would have been neglectful. That bill should have been dealt with during Bush's term.

I saw him in person in a 2 hour performance. He was very entertaining and informative. He is very intelligent & is able to see the absurdities of politics and expose them in a humorous way. You should read some of his books. Check out "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right by Al Franken or" Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot". Two classics. In general, comedians are smarter and more creative than the average person. You can't be stupid & write great comedy.

I just looked up THEN and THAN in the Youtube Book Of Spelling and Grammar. It says they are interchangeable and those that go around correcting spelling and grammar are immature and getting a much needed ego boost. Lets look at your spelling. You incorrectly spell "he's". Correct spelling: "heez". A "lot" is just one word meaning a plot of land or specifying a quantity. I agree with you, Franken is impressive and its not surprizeen one would vote for him or find him intelligent.
