I think you forget how Palestine ended up in British hands. The ottomans made a descition to fight the allies in WW1 and lost thus loosing their empire. Uhhhh, no! Half of Jordan is part of the original Palestinian map, I don't see anyone suicide bombers there. And there were no Palestinians prior to 1968, when they decided to call themselves that. There was not so much peace prior to that either. Arabs always murdered Jews, for centuries. THe people who lived in the British Mandate were peaceful, the people today are not the refugess, but those that came from borders and were rejected by surrounding arab lands. They are mostly from Syria.

I think you forget how Palestine ended up in British hands. The ottomans made a descition to fight the allies in WW1 and lost thus loosing their empire. The allies in turn divided the former empire into many of the modern nation states that exist today including Israel. According to the the UN Israel has a right to exist and so does Palestine yet this does not seem to be a shared view among the people there. Can you really blame Israelis for having a strong self preservation instinct?

In fact I am hard pressed to find a single action by the Israelis that was not proceeded by some sort of hostility towards them?? From what i can tell this conflict is simply one based on the idea of Islamic supremacy. The nation of Israel as a duty to defend its population from outside forces even if those forces be far inferior in power. I would say that had the initial 2 state set up simply been accepted or possibly renegotiated none of this 50+ years of violence would have ensued.

I've always wondered why there are so few Jews -- weather religious or not -- in the world (perhaps 15 million) compared to 1.6 billion Christians and 1.2 billion Muslims. In terms of conversion, it seems that Jews of whatever persuasion (Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, etc.) make it a bit obtuse on how to convert and have restrictions.

Jews don't go out to convert people. It is not their plan. Jewish law is very complex, and has too many rules for anyone to want to convert over, so they remain where it seems easy for them. Why give yourself over to the Creator? I mean, all He ever did was create us.

So, Jew is a spiritual self and not the physical self that is born and dies. So, not a single Jew died during the holocausts but people of different tribes led by their blind Rabbis, the Brood of Vipers.
Today, they are bundled up for Final Burning - Matt 13.v24-30.
