Many hospitals across this country are tax-exempt too. They get federal and state dollars to help people get blood tests, cancer and heart screenings, etc. I don't go around suggesting we cancel their funding. Also elementary, high school and colleges all get federal and state funding, again I don't think people should demand we defund them. My taxes go toward many things I personally don't use but I know other people could use the help. It's what Jesus said we should do, help others.
What qualifies as a non-profit now? Planned Parenthood is a business. The big issue is that Planned Parenthood has a record of deception and misrepresentation. How many things do you pay taxes for that you are morally opposed to? As for things like public schools, first of all they are run by the Government, but I would like more access to private school. As for what Jesus would do, that is what charities are for, true non-profits that don't make money.
@BenjaminWirtz I don't make up the non-profit rules, the gov't does. Non-profits are all businesses. That tiny food pantry in your city and Red Cross are all corporations, and non-profits. What's your "record" of deception or misrepresentation; cite specifics please. I pay taxes for U.S. WARS. I'm morally opposed to killing innocent people with missiles. Jesus has my back on this for sure. Private schools already have access to tax money if they're tax-exempt, they pay zero tax.
@ShowMeNoHate Although Planned Parenthood says it provides all the information, if discourages ultrasounds. They have tried to circumvent the law by sending girls out of stet if their state doesn't allow for a specific abortion. I could send you sources but would have to do so in a private message. I actually agree with you on the war. I actually think charities should be supported directly by the people not by the Government.
@BenjaminWirtz Well at least we both agree on wars! That's a start my friend, so let's leave it on a positive note. Oh I just realized your spelling of Deffund is spelled wrong - it should be Defund. Just wanted to let you know.
Planned Parenthood is an non-profit like many organizations. They are tax-exempt because they prove to the government they are offering services to the public that the private sector doesn't. Planned Parenthood offeres WAY MORE services to women (and men) than just abortions. Cancer screenings, blood STD tests, condoms, birth control etc. All of these offerings have been deemed a public service. If you don't want them, do go use them.

Do you think abortion should be tax-funded?
