I have always loved the relationship between Gibbs and Abby. I think Gibbs sees her as what his daughter might have been had she not been killed. And I suspect that Abby sees Gibbs as the father figure she probably did not have growing up. I think it would be funny though to have Gibbs follow through on his threat to spank Abby at some point. I suspect Abby would accept it as she probably sees Gibbs as a father.
