  • or 3/8 ... same thing

  • anyone think it sounds kinda like a reverse perdie shuffle or summat

  • @pinkvelvet100 I thought it was a shuffle groove, too...but full-time, not half-time..also, I thought he was playing Swiss Army triplets:

    (Rg)gR(RL)gR(Rg)gR(RL)gR(Rg)gR(RL)g

(Rg) = Right hand/Left hand together, with g = ghost note

(RL) = Right hand/Left hand together, with L = downbeat

    Post-downbeat g = ghost note

  • popular church groove? what kind of dang church u go to?!

  • ahahahahah.... this still makes me laugh! :-D

  • 1st 6 beats are : Bd & HH with RH on 1 - 2 rest - beats 3 4 5 are LLR on sn - Bd on 6

    2nd 6 beats are : SN & HH with RH on 1 - 2 rest - beats 3 4 5 are RRL on sn - Bd on 6

  • Phat beat yo.

  • sick ... thats a sick beat man

  • what rudiments are you using? pretty sick though

  • Great teaching!

  • Pocket? What pocket... try a metronome!

  • @ericksont WTF YOU RETARD. THE POCKET IS INTEGRAL

  • Gotta love dat !! What kinda snare is it ? sounds off the hook

  • umm... helpfull criticism...practice with a metronome. You come out of that sixteenth note fill early everytime. Unless it changes meter, which you did not indicate.

  • eh, it's 6/8 otherwise the markings would been different.

  • that is an interesting beat.

  • Great shit

  • Thats mean.

  • i got to get that

  • nice :)

  • oh my gosh !!!

    ur a killer !! wooow !!!

I need 2 get 2 work after seeing that :p lol

  • I LOVE this beat, I'm going to try playing this tomorrow, WICKED STUFF!

  • Lil' Wayne on drums!!!

    Ahahahahha!!!

  • good video. thanks for putting it up

  • Man, the way this kid knows exactly what he's talking about is kinda soft spoken, and how he's so good at a young age kinda reminds me of Tiger Woods.

  • crazy

  • yo dude, you're still killin. Glad to see you doin tha damn thing. Hit me up if ur gonna be comin to Berklee.

    Peace-

    Emile Martinez Trpt

  • u´re amazing! crazy

  • can someone here tell me how to count 12/8

  • @teamsleepnine 12/8 means there are twelve eighth notes in the measure, its usually subdivided into four groups of three eight notes

  • so count as 4/4??

  • @teamsleepnine no count as a 6/8.

  • thats well good - whats the sticking ?

  • Thx 4 the lick...adding it to the arsenal as of 2day!! Please continue to share for the less advanced like myself.

  • You Seem quite good but you really need to invest in some drum mikes

  • Dude, Nobody believes me when i say that DW drums seem to talk to you when you play them! Ill never go for any other drums. Anyway, Im really feeling the 12/8. Ive watched this vid like 15 times already tryin to keep up wit his hands. Ill see you at MI Deeboi. Rookie.E

  • dw drum have mor fundamental sound then other drums in the market .The tomms are often highly tuned wich in my taste I don`t likes that kind of drums plus the are more expensive than any other drum company .The only good thing about the DW is that the hardware is the best and probably the player`s choise all around the world and they are good looking drums

  • Umm, you mean 6/8 time? lol

  • could someone break this down for me?

  • nice playing. I can't really hear what your saying though.

  • Yo! dude..cool thing you did when you modulated to 3 against 2.

  • sick

  • oh...and you must flam the two and four with your left hand on the snare for the accent!!!

    You're a good drummer!

  • lol ur right i shoulda explained that too! thanx though....

  • i like it! It's basically a paradiddle diddle phrased as 16th note triplets. Since you're playing all the first note on the hi-hat and the LRRLL on the snare...it sounds really full when you add in the bass drum on the downbeat and the last ta of the triplet. MI always has at least 3 great gospel drummers per level...glad to see that you're continuing the legacy!!!

  • yea man u knoe your shit if u breakin it down like that!...thats wassup...and thanx:)....

  • who is that drummer!!

  • sick brov 12/8 nice check me out

  • Nice dude.
