That being said I can't rip it on the guitar like you or Dan and there is a reason everyone sounds different. Dan tried to model his sound after a bunch of different guys but said it always sounded like he was playing the guitar. Develop you style and good luck but remember to branch out and get ideas from other groups and create a unique sound like Dan and Pat did rather than just copy the Keys. They're a great band but there is only one of them.

Solid but your technique isn't the same as Dan. He uses a lot of finger picking and uses the top two strings to play the bass/rhythmic lines throughout the songs while playing chords and plays lead on the bottom four. It's a technique used by a lot of the old blues guys which he modeled his sound after. If you can practice that you will have a fuller more complete sound. If not you're going to get some bitchy bassist complaining that you need a third guy in your group.
