That's not how you make a molotov... plastic bottle aside, you need to seal off the top with a rag so the propellent doesn't leak, and you should secure the part of the rag that sticking out (acting as the "fuse") to the side of the bottle with tape or something. This keeps it from getting caught on stuff, and it still works fine when the rag is lit as-is.
