  • Wolvess are like ultimate animal killers that can troll it's prey LOL look at what it's doing to the cougar it's playing with it see how its tails wagging? god i love wolves.

  • To conclude... The wolves are afraid but persistent. It pays off but is a mile away from "Dominance." As stated in the title.

  • A few points to consider...

At no point do the wolves show confidence and walk up and take what they want. This means they are scared of a fight. Even with the smaller badger.

The cougar looks very young, it has pattering on its hind end

  • I love wolves.

  • Comment removed

  • That cougar is like, "Awwwww, fuck this. I'm going home."

  • Jeez this is one wolf nut riding sausage fest. How did that loueifoo guy kid 2 thumbs up. The cougar had its jaws around the wolf's neck and was obviously owning it...

  • looks like a fun life

  • Scrolling down the comments and im convinced 80% of you have downsyndrome. Did a special ed teacher show this video to a retard class or some shit?

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage One wolves are smarter. Two wolves have more stamina and endurance, the cougar will get tired quickly. Three wolves travel in packs. Four a single wolf CAN kill a cougar. 5 wolves drive cougars away from their kill more than cougars drive wolves away. These 5 reasons are why Wolves are more dominant than cougars. 1 on 1 doesnt matter because that suggested video was staged for a T.V show. But a cougar vs a gray wolf alpha male or alpha female the cougar would probably lose.

  • @louiefoo

that show didn't matter? Did you need see the wolf getting fucking raped up the ass. I say this shit doesn't matter becuase a full grown male wolf drives away a FEMALE cougar from her kill. It was staged in that they were both forced to fight, but the outcome shows that a cougar fucks the wolf up. nuff sed. wolfs travel in packs, and becuase of this they can only drive away cougars from kills. Cougars own wolfs, just like that video shows.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage That show doesnt matter because they dont even finish the fight all the videos that i have seen is the wolf and the cougar flopping around in the air and then it cuts off. And it doesnt matter that a full grown male wolf drove off a full grown female cougar because female mountain lions are probably more dangerous than males basing you're argument off that video is as retarded as basing it off animal planets animal face off video of a wolf vs mountain lion. Wolves own cougars.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage At least a wolf has the courage to stay and fight. Bet you wouldn't fight one with your bare hands pussy.

  • @microphonemaster6

Sweet, two wolves fighting one cougar. That really takes some hairy balls to team up one one cat. One cougar would fuck a lone wolf up the ass so hard that its mom would be moaning, then it would pull out and red sock the wolf. Its intestines would be hanging out of its asshole. One on one fight, a cougar would fuck up a wolf, no question.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage You don't no anything you faggot. I bet you would ass rape a cougar.

  • @microphonemaster6

You spelled know wrong... Obviously you are not very smart.

I dare you to type in cougar vs wolf on youtube and watch your wolf get red socked by a cougar. The wolf gets killed in 15 seconds flat. I don't know what you are trying to argue. A lone cougar will win against a lone wolf.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage Maybe alone...Still not likely wolves are ALOT smarter and more fearless than cougars that makes them the better predator.

  • @TheNerdsPlace

    Definitely alone.

Wolves are very intelligent, i have never denied that. They are smarter than cougars. But that really isn't going to mean much in a fight.

Wolves are pretty fearless, but a cougar is aggressive too.

The only advantage a lone wolf would have in a fight over a cougar is that their bite force is stronger and they have more stamina.

Pretty much any other advantage you can think of belongs to the cougar.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage True, I don't like to fight over them. They both are amazing animals :)

  • @TheNerdsPlace

Yeah, they are both great animals and unique from each other.

    I just don't see a wolf winning a fight against a cougar 1v1.

But still, the wolf is awesome.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage They are pretty amazing creatures, and you need to remember that wolves pretty much spend their whole life fighting for dominance in the pack. Years of fighting experience would give the wolf an edge if you ask me, but I suppose we'll never truly know the true king of the North American mountain ranges...

  • One on one of course not, but wolves; the smart ones attack in packs and are social. For that reason they are more intelligent.

  • @EnjoyTheOwnage Thank the good Lord! Finally we got an objective answer on youtube.

  • Too good. The wolves are just messing with the cougar, tiring it out. On 1:17 the wolf is wagging his tail! That's why it takes much more than physicality to be the top predator...look at coyotes and wolves and their efficiency.

  • the wolves rules...

  • Finally a video on youtube that makes justice!!! Wolves are superior to cougars. Its a LIE that a cougar always will win against a wolf!! (In Fact i had seen a video on TV where a wolf easily killed a cougar) Sure the cougar has powerful Claws but the wolf has superior Teeth. But the most important why wolves are superior to cougars, is that cougars are stupids, wolves are SMART!!!.

  • this is probably the best video on youtube, i mean it shows wolves at their best pretty much, i hope those stupid cougar fans have seen this

  • what a pussy! get it ?

    omg im horrible..

  • One on one a cougar dominates the wolf. There's a video where a cougar kills a wolf on youtube. The cougar didn't want to risk getting any injuries by the wolf because it's solitary, but a wolf can afford to because it is a social animal. But if a wolf forces the cougar to fight, the cat will fuck the thing up.

  • 1 bite to the leg of that cougar and that cougars done because a wolf is smart enough fast enough and has a strong enough bite to go straight through the cougars leg. And a badger would get destroyed by a full grown wolf.

  • Felt sorry for the cougar in this video.

  • @Fredtronic you obiously know nothing about cougars.... that was a female.....

  • holy look at the cougars body and head size compared to the wolf's at 1:19 , no doubt it's a Timber wolf cause only Timber wolves are that size.

  • That wolf is kicking that stupid cougars butt! COUGAR DOSENT STAND A CHANCE!!!!

  • @whitewolfgurli actually.. as much as i like wolves more... a cougar will kill a worlf like nothing they have more weapons (claws) more flexibility and can get their claws in a clutc0ing possition. also got sharper fangs

  • @coCHINO691

From what I've read there are more reports of cougars killing wolves than vice versa; but wolves do kill cougars and even grizzly bears (source: National Geographic). However, of the studies that I've read, wolves drive many more cougars from kills. Their social cognition is higher than virtually everything but humans...superior intellect combined with serious physicality make wolves the apex predator of Yellowstone (along with the Grizzly Bear).

  • Comment removed

  • Yea, but i pretty sure the wolves are more intelligent.

  • Wolves are great hunters while they have the security of the pack and will dominate any other predator the the land they occupy except one, the Amur tiger. No matter how big a wolf pack is in Far East Russia, the Tiger seems to still dominte the wolf by lower it's numbers to extreme low number or extinction in the area, that's a fact. Amur tigers are the only other predator in the world the wolf can't out-number or out-smart.

  • Racket lol

  • a pack of wolfs against a single predator is not an argument for the wolf. (in a discussion about fighting abilities)

Canidae are in a pack because they are poor fighters.

    @pigwidgey

cats claws are not only evolved to hold the prey, they are also deadly weapons.

never been hit by a cat?

  • It doesn't matter on who is stronger, or more adapted to kill. It is who is smarter. Did you see what those wolves did? They out smarted that cougar by running around it, and the cat kept exerting himself in a attempt to protect his food. The wolves wore out the cougar and when the cougar couldn't protect his food anymore because he was too tire. He said "To hell with it." its all about who knows how to get what they want if they are out matched.

  • @DandyDragon It probably helps that the cat has low endurance. If the cat had its speed, agility and claws, but with wolf endurance, a whole pack of wolves would not stand a chance. But such are the trade offs in natures evolutionary arms race. No animal can have all the tools necessary to win. Except HUMANS.

  • I think the wolf came is not to fight or kill the cougar ang i think that tthose wolves playing the cougar because if the wolf is serious he might fight the cougar

  • I doubt a real "wolf biologist" would participate in this simplistic and lame "this animal totally PWNS that animal!!!!1111" crap that infects the comment section of just about every nature video on youtube.

  • The wolf's strength is that they hunt in group but an individual wolf is no match for a cougar or a bear.

  • The prey is almost fully eaten... so cougar has almost all his energy... which gets over in few seconds...like tghe case of a cheetha

  • ALSO LOOK AD WOLVES TAIL... that means Excitation ABOUT HUNT, FOOD OR PLAY

  • Look at the cougar ears... like the house cats that means "FEAR"... a defensive attitude...

and look ad wolves face...look ad his ears...like due housedogs that means CURIOSITY...

  • you pit bull destory de cougar? jaja

  • the wolfs wagging its tail

  • Complete nonsense , a wolverine BITES INSANELY hard, a cougar only dreams of having the jaw strength of a wolverine or a wolf, lettle lone the teeth of both, know the facts before you speak out your ass.

  • I love how when they're bugging the other animal, their tails are wagging!

Wolves are such great animals. ^^

  • cougars may have strenght, but wolves are smarter...go wolves! ^^

  • If you think about it, humans are a lot more like wolves than cougars. We both are social animals. We both are not picky about foods. We both have great endurance (see youtube "Persistence Hunt". We both sleep at night, whereas many cats sleep at days.

  • Wolves are pack animals. If it was 1 versus 1, the cougar would win. But 2 + wolves would be able to bring a Cougar down.

  • Cougars weigh rougly 110 lbs.

Timberwolves weigh about 170, and have jaws of steel.

It would've only been a matter of time.

  • No, the lack of endurance is a huge disadvantage in a 1 on 1 fight against a similarly sized carnivore. In any prolonged conflict, the cougar would be in serious trouble if he cannot make a fast kill, as where the wolf, with its legendary stamina, would just be getting warmed up.

  • I see your point! But I still think, that by the time the cougar is out of stamina, the wolf would already have taken some serious damage! If the wolf stays out of close combat, tyring the cougar with mock attacks, ok, then the cougar will have to give up! But close combat one on one: it's teeth vs teeth+claws!! Plus the damn fast fighting style of a cat, whether the wolf, as you mention correctly, is more build for endurance.

  • One minute all you wolf haters are saying cats have the greatest stamina on the planet and then next your using it as a excuse because the more intelligent animal has one. Cougars kill animals on impact usually , they have immense hitting power, they break the backs of elk on impact. Nomoreexcuse fuckers, wolves are killing the mighty grizzlies in the pacific northwest ,and your beloved cougars dont have theballs in the wild to even get near griz on a killl. Thatcougarvsgriz vidis FAKE= Tame

  • I've never said cats have the greatest stamina. In fact they have almost none, not even in the same league with the wolves'.

So please read my comment again. I've only mentioned the totally different hunting technique of the two animals, cat going for quick kill, the wolf relying on his massive stamina and endurance.

  • Wrong. The cougar missed both strikes on 1:52 If the cougar "so win", then it would not have given up its food. The fact speaks for itself.

  • It was tired by the kill, so it had no more power left to defend its food, and of course not against two(!) other predators!

    THAT fact speaks for itself!

  • You don't know if the cougar was tired by the kill (that is not a fact, it is an opinion). What is a fact is that cougars have much lower endurance than wolves. We know cougars cannot run in long distance. That is a FACT.

  • By fact I meant that it was a single cougar against two wolves!

Of course, I could only guess that the cougar was tired by the kill, because they have explosive power, but very little stamina, which I never denied.

  • ha poor cat...wolves are annoying...cats dont have the stamina to fight for extended periods of time thats why they sleep so...also thats why they're so precise in they're kills

  • @musicwriter83

first of all: A wolf couple was removing a female cougar from her kill.

second: those were pups playing with a badger.

last: that wolf was just saying hello to it's rival.

then they got a victory meal at the end

  • the most dangerous animals in numbers are timber wolf packs

  • wolfs r not punks as you can see the wolf or the cuger wanted to fight they both heastated cus its not worth geting hurt over any small injery can lead to death in thw wild if u the ones who sed wolves r cowerd new anything they know that all animals that live in th ewilde are all careful even bear run away to avode injery get ya facts rite

  • it's called playing... they were messing with it, cause if they were really trying to kill it, they could in seconds.

  • okay, go walk up to a pack of wolves in the wild if there so gutless... c how long you live.

  • normally wolves are my favorite animal, but that badger...i ADORE that badger. it was funny ^^

  • wolves dominate

  • whered you get the music from. Nice video!

  • one one one a bear or cougar are no match for a wolf, but a whole wolf pack could have taken a meal from a bear the same way it did the cougar.

  • yea the cougar did look pretty small. Cuz ive been around cougars and ive been aruond grey wolves the largest wolves and they looked about the same size 2 me

  • Wolves working together are unstopable. They have more stamina than bears and cats and will wear them down off a kill. 1on1 though a grizzly would maul it and a cougar could seriously injure it. The grey wolf here taking the cougars food had its tail between its legs, meaning it was not confident.

Wolves own though with a capital P.

  • unstopable unstopable i must say, i have saw a movie about wolf that got ravaged apart because of pack leader did get mauled early and rest did get down one after one.

as if packleader down, the flock is really not that great anymore....just in number, not in brain anymore

  • peterock your wrong about the bear, i guarantee a full grown male grizzly bear (say 750 pounds) would tear a wolf pack apart.

  • haha..cougar acted like a little bitch and bolted. MAN I hate cats.

  • hey man wasnt the cougar chasing the wolves around?

  • cant believe some people thought that was a wolverine

  • a wolf can take on couguar if it must, in some case wolf can win in fight, because he is smart and probably tired the couguar and then after the couguar is exhaustion he goes on flash and couguar is off!!!! wolf is simply a wolf, you look at his eyes and you will see a courage and tenacious and power....

  • interesting.. Just can't help but wonder about the guys who think it matters which animal would win one on one. obviously, wolves live and hunt in packs, so that's the only thing that matters and ultimately, a pack of experienced wolves will wear down any other north-american predator, including any bear, even if it takes hours.

  • The wolf has a lot of fur, but it still could not take that cougar. The wolves did what they do best and tired that cougar out. One on one, it is not much of a fight though.

  • i think if wolves wish kill that cougar it will be one dead cougar even that bigger gray wolf have ability ono on one kill cougar 6/10 because that cougar wasn't very big

  • lol, looks like the wolfes just wants to play but always gets attacked

  • Was that a full grown cougar? it looked kind of small for a big cat in comparison to the wolves

  • Wolfs are bigger than many ppl thinks =)

  • Nah, I knew wolves were big, I just wasnt sure on the size of cougars

The wolves are so cute when they're playing with the wolverine XD

  • cougars really don't get that big. they are small big cats n-n we have them around our house, so i should know.

  • wolves dominate everything.

    ....except tigers

  • they would not be able to do that to a wolverine.

  • thats because wolverines are freakin' insane.

  • wolves are friggin big........lokk at the size of m wolves n that of the cougar

  • they only look bigger. its because their legs are so long, cougars have shorter legs and look smaller. but in reality, a wolf will weigh less than a cougar most of the time.

  • yes but that gray wolf weight more than cougar because averange female cougar weiht about 60-100lb averange male wolf abaut 100-150lb

  • true, true.

  • but then cougar have killer sharp claws and teeth and wolf have only dew claws n deathly teeth so i like a kick boxer vs a boxer

  • A cougars claws are design to pin down prey, Note: shape of the claw defines usage.

curved: (cats, bears*, birds of prey) Pin down or hold onto prey.

straight: (large flightless birds such as emus) slashing, cutting, disembowling and ripping.

*bear claws due to their size 5-6 inches can also rip.

  • go wolves!

  • LOL..their like annoying big brothers.

  • Gotdamnned wolves! Why can't they just leave people alone with their kills?

  • you catlovers do not understand wolves, look the video good, the wolves do not want to figth with the cougar they just want to get it away from the kill so they can get it over,if they wanted to figth they wood ripe that cougar apart, but they are very smart predators, much smarter than that pussycat.

  • 2 Wolves to 1 cat? Not much of a match. Put 2 Lions feeding on that carcas and those wolves are heading for the next country.

  • Go wolves!!!

  • it was the wolf pups playing with badger u fool lol.

cougar was trying to scare the wolf but wolf kept coming back. cougar just decide not to take a risk.

  • Its a freakin pup not a full grown wolf, they were just practicing on it.

  • @SADCOW67 thats because they were fricken puppies, playing with it.

  • lol wolfs are so frekin awsomeness

  • SWEET MORE COUGAR VS WOLVES NOW DAMMIT

  • crashfu's right, the wolves got munched!

  • too cool. Wolves rule!

  • look at this dumb motherfucker right here lol. these are animals they use different tactics. perhaps the wolf should've used a spinning heel kick?

  • The Wolf dodged all the cats attacks

  • snackrib, as opposed to you wolves have class in their expressions

  • The Wolf ran alot faster then the cougar

  • By the way, wolves are smartER than foxes.

  • Wow, did you film this stuff? Its amazing! Good post, good post. They really did a number on that cougar.

  • Wolves are as smart as foxes. Thank you for sharing.

  • Wolves are smarter than foxes, numbnuts.

  • "Wolves are smarter than foxes, numbnuts."

Is their memory greater than elephants? Are their minds more advanced than steel traps? Do you not know what an idiom is?

  • Foxes are smaller, have smaller brains than wolves and foxes don't have the same intelligence that wolves got. They are two different animals. Also dogs have 30% smaller brains than wolves.

  • Idiom: the language peculiar to a people or to a district, community, or class

Aphorism: an often stated observation regarding something from common experience

Adage: a saying often in metaphorical form that embodies a common observation

"Smart as a fox," "Memory like an elephant," or "Mind like a steel trap," for example.

  • Yeah well wolves also act smarter than most people.
