Cap, you make the best videos! I hope that Bose takes care of you because you have probably sold a lot of units for them! Anyway, did you just plug the mic and guitar straight into the ports on the Bose Compact or did Mr. Ortiz have some processing unit he went through like the T1 Tonematch unit etc. Thanks... He sounds amazing!!! You sure did a great job of giving him a great sound for that song!!! You are the best promoter of Bose products and many appreciate it!
Question: Using the Tone Match syst., what are the best settings for the music & mic. so that one's vocals won't sound as though they are singing from far away but rather sound natural and balanced. I know there many settings like reverb, frequencies, etc, but I don't understand much. Could you tell me where you would recommend setting the options in all sections of that little turning knob on the top right area of the tone match so that one's voice will sound the way it should be heard??
@Aldenif : To many variables at hand to clinically diagnose a mic setting recommendation on a forum. I strongly suggest you contact your point of purchase salesperson and get that assistance from them, one on one. That's what it's going to take. If they can't or won't help, contact BOSE tech support directly.
980067271 : Two different technologies and applications. The wave radio is home audio, wave guide, and fits in like furniture. It will also provide a stereo image.
The L1 Compact is line array, pro audio, and designed to be portable and flexible, and is mono. For stereo image reproduction, two L1 Compacts (or L1s of any kind) are needed to reproduce a stereo image.
really nice video..do u suggest using this system for playing songs from CD.s and even ipods. i mean am not a professional singer but i have plans to buy a good sound system for my home use and the options were bose wave 2 and L1 compact. both are almost the same price. what u suggest.
@CapCapello I thin I can help. Cap back off the mic. Turn down mics bass. You're trying use the compact like traditional speakers to boom your voice. We can hear the resulting distortion and overloaded pre amp. Trust the compact, Cap. Trying to be impressive or louder sounds cheesy and makes me cringe.
Doing side-by-side comparisons of the L1 Compact with several other systems, the Fishman is a line array look alike but is nothing close to the L1 Compact in propagation properties or sound quality. Nothing remotely close.
Ummm. Sorry. Not sure what part of this verbal and visual presentation you may have completely missed, but this video is live and what you hear is what it is. Can I help clarify something you've overlooked?

@kmgreensman : Thank you for your kind words. Apparently others thought so as well as I am now an independent factory authorized Bose L1 dealer.
No, there was no signal processing used. Mic plugged int the mic, guitar into the line in and what you see (and hear) is all natural.

Hi Cap, quick question:
Is it possible to chain 2 L1 compacts together, so that they can be used in stereo?
Thanks!

DJ Xtrodinaire: The intros were 2 L1 Classics set at preset 00 (and the mixer eq was flat) with 4 B1 bass bins.
The singer was using one L1 Compact, guitar in one chaneel, the mic in the other.
Sam Hinrichsin : No. He had it set at about 55%.
