Saw Stevie years ago...my eardrums are still smokin from that show! Looks like TM Stevens here on bass. That means The Man is the SHIT people. Straight up shredmaster.
i just came back from a week of hanging out with him at imc rock camp, i was the luckiest drummer there because i got to be in his FREAKING BAND. it was the best week ever. btw the bass player in this video is tm stevens from shoka zooloo who was at the camp last year. tm and stevie look completly different now but are rocking even harder.best part was watching every one in the facalty play awsome songs EVERYDAY and being in the front row every time! Stevie you gave us the best week ever! thanks
@Ibanez3x different players and styles. you can't compare the two. Plus Vai's music does not have enough groove. But you know, I'm sure that if you asked Vai about Salas he would say that he's a great player, because greatness is not style specific.
I just spent and entire week with Stevie Salas and Tm Stevens, and iv actually never listened to any of his songs but iv seen him perform every single morning haha
Great stuff. Seen them in 1990 alongside 24-7 spyz in Berlin. What a show. The spyz' bass player stage dived backwards into the audience - not really a good idea, as he slammed the headstock of his bass into some fellows forehead...show was over for the poor sod, of course. Still: a fantastic show.
stevie is the ultimate proof that mainstreem is fucking pathetic... know one in the public has heard any of his music yet he's workd wit ppl like jagger, ron wood, rod stewart, ritchie kotzen, dave abbruzzese, glenn hughes, matt sorum, vinnie paul, sammy hagar and heaps more
he is easily the best rock musician of the past maybe 10years and we're stuck wit fuckin fall out boy on the radio
Lol, you're completely right. There are sooo many good musicians and artists out there and no one seems to know about them. Not many people take the time to raid a record shop anymore :)
This guy is for real, I love the funk rock, there is not enough of it out there b/c no one really appreciates good songwriting and musicianship anymore, I loved the first record, the colorcode one with Blind and The Harder...... nowadays it's all American Idol Britney Jonas Kanye and lilWayne.. At least FOB play their own instruments, but I get ya. They do get props for making a music video about child soldiers in Uganda. Check it out, it's a hearbreaker.
Would anybody be able to write here the lyrics? I can't find it anywhere and I need them because we're starting the project of a band and are covering this song. If you do, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. :)
