LIEBE...

  • Great version of this on EC was here. My favorite.

  • This is nice. Thanks for posting.

  • You just can't beat the Steve Winwood version ... you just can't. The perfect balance between artistic sensibility and the frailness at having lived, and being where we all have been at one time in our lives: wasted, and unable to find our way home.

  • @phddddd. Agree, Winwood has soul on this son. I\It's Winwood's song

  • she sung on backup for eric,s group lots of times, I saw them in atlanta, about 77, she was a beautifull lady with a super voice. thanks

  • @rick00770 Not just lots of times, she was a member of the band for a few years and then decided to go solo. She played Mary Magdelene in Jesus Christ Superstar and has the best version of "I Don't Know How To Love Him" out there and talk about sexy and the perfect voice, just enter Yvonne Elliman, which BTW I see it on this page now. It is a beautiful song and made for Yvonne Elliman.

  • Yvonne owns this song. All the better that she got it down so perfectly with Eric.

  • sounds great like here more of this concert

  • Good live,thanks.

  • Did I read Clapton had a child with Yvonne? I can swear I read that somewhere.

  • @tomthefunky Yvonne Kelly - the English wife of a Monsarrat musician whom EC had an affair in the mid 1980s - gave EC his first daughter Ruth (now a muscian herself). However EC & Elliman did have a passionate affair during this time, before Patti Harrison became 'available'!

  • @anthonythirteen: Thanks for clearing that up, anthony.

  • @tomthefunky no problem Tom. Lucky old EC!

  • @anthonythirteen Elliman toured with Clapton while Pattie Boyd Harrison was dating Clapton and on his tour as well. Pattie divorced George in '74 and went to live with Clapton. Pattie has a photo in her bio of she and Eric next to each other at a train station with Yvonne a few steps ahead of them. Any affair would've been while Pattie was dating Eric before their marriage in '79. Pattie mentions several affairs by Eric in her bio but doesn't mention Elliman as one of them.

  • Who's playing harp?

  • GREAT stuff. Thanks so much for posting:) --

  • I saw this concert in Houston at the Coliseum in 1975!

  • cant find my way home is one of the finest songs ever written and although im in my forties this version has brought a tear to my eyes.....absolutely gorgeous version....thank you for taking the time to post this townsend...

  • @bassplayer38 Hey, I'm 50, and it makes me weep:) --

  • @stevevandien You shouldn't weep about being 50 dude, it's going to happen to us all one day :-)

  • @birdstuckinchimney

I'm also 50, still single, and not dead. Ran into a woman I haven't seen much in the last few years. She had had too much. Walked her home. Came back to the bar. People made fun of me. Thing is, I'm not like that. This song reminds me of what I'm about.

  • @jmatzkin So what your saying is, she hadn't aged that well!? :-)

  • @jmatzkin But you found both your way AND her way home!

  • @birdstuckinchimney Just turned fivo, and I'm glad to be able to remember this era , and Cream and the '60's too!

  • more more

  • So, so, beautiful man. Love it!

  • love this song xD

  • Sing it, Yvonne!

That's Marcy Levy on harmonica, I presume?

  • the most beautiful song ever recorded..........classics...thanks for sharing....
