You guys should really focus less on that one little line being a few years off from perfect and realize the magnificence of this performance. STFU and enjoy it, please. KMH is amazing and to be doing this acoustic on the street, that should overshadow any of this other pettiness.......
@qwertish Don't get me wrong yes I would have loved to live back then, the stories I was told growing up were amazing, and to see that happen before my eyes would be great, I do how ever accept that I was not born then, and I do fight for rights people deserve now a days, I go to a few gay rallies when I can, I believe women should be allowed on the front lines, you know little stuff, but it is nothing compared to the stories I have heard.

Let me help the lesser of the intelligent of us out a little here. This song was released in 2008. Can we all agree on that? Okay. The sixties were still going on in 1969. Hell, 1969 was the very height of it all! In 2008, 1969 was 39 years ago. Not 40, and sure as hell not 50.
@elvishenry yes it was released in 2008 but they did this version in 2010 which would make 1960 50 years ago and i think her hair is more of a saffron with some orange in it but hey, thats just me
I don't think so... A majority of the 60s, 60-68, would have been forty-something years ago. I think if you're counting by decade, you have to count your starting point as a decade, too, as in 200x instead of 2008, or you'll get rounding errors. 200x - 196x = 4x. Now that it's 201x, we should say that the sixties were fifty years ago :}
Kate, you and your guitar player are completely entertaining and, ha, I am the tail end of the baby bloomers coming of age in the late 60's. Thank you, and keep on writing those songs!
Saw you at the Music Box in Hollywood, never having heard you before. Had goosebumps with every song!!! I agree with galatix27 below. You and Keir should put out an acoustic album together--just the two of you It was wonderfully theatrical, comedic, and operatic, but most of all great talent and great music. Thank you!!!
Just saw them live, opening for Ben Folds. I really love it when it's just the two of them... Just Kate, Keir, a guitar, and maybe a keyboard. So simple, but so fun to listen to. And they're definitely an entertaining bunch (pretty much).
i don't get tired of this song & video either,makes me smile alot!!! :)

there is absolutely nothing good about this song. boring, simple, cheesy, trendy...
nothing unique. this is happening way too much in music recently
mrmexico25 10 months ago
@mrmexico25 It's simple; so what? It's lead to some great songs.At least it has lyrics with a clever meaning, and an amazing operatic singer.
TruPower22 8 months ago
@mrmexico25 When was the last time you heard a pop singer with an operatic voice like that?

I love to sing the opera parts of this in the car. It makes me feel less weird being classically trained rather than trained to sing pop.

I love that she can actually sing. Classical training FTW!

I love this song, it would have been awesome to grow up in the 60s & 70s. The height of feminism, equal rights, a time when rebellion had a meaning.
spiritregan 1 year ago
@spiritregan Agreed!
However, we can talk about living back then all we want... or we could bring back that sense of rebelliousness and question the man ourselves TODAY!

it's 2010. 2010 - 1960 = 50. Fifty years ago it was the '60s. That's probably why no one has mentioned it.

Well, even though the sixties were actually only 40 years ago (why has no one mentioned this?), still a great song and a cute girl.
