@MAXTORDARK hi ! i made the backing track myself . i deleted it after i made this video . you might try searching the internet for free backing tracks . i just found one for you (Backing Tracks - Ralph Patt's Jazz Web Page) it's there
Came across your vids while researching the Roland Cube 60 for my old jazz box and enjoyed them very much. I guess a lot of we older guys were brought up with the sound of jazz around the place but it is heartwarming to see so many young guys - who presumably grew up to the screech of rock - getting interested in jazz .
hi zthetha ! yes.it's nice to see some of the young guys digging jazz ! at first i didn't like the cube 60 as it was thin sounding , unlike my polytone. but it's gotten better , i believe since the speakers are broke in . plus it's light and very reliable . i use it all the time .
@freddym223 As a matter of interest - have you ever come across a Yamaha SR 50 112 amp? I have the chance to buy one unseen - they are VERY rare in UK - allegedly there were only 4 imported and even Yamaha have no info on them but they are said to have a beautiful warm clean tone. My Antoria L5 copy sounds ok through an old Crate red label G40C but I'd like more definition - it only has two 8" Celestions which kinda choke it a bit. I'm after that Jim Hall with Jimmy Giuffre 3 sound.
@zthetha no . i've never heard of that amp . i have always had a friendly relation with music stores . they let me take the amp home to try for a couple days . i've saved a lot of heart aches that way . try before you buy !
@2xtrbo Absolutely nothing at all. I have a Tele and LP and like to kick ass with em. Have you listened to Danny Gatton - the greatest 'unknown' guitarist who could literally do anything on a Tele. They didn't call him The Humbler for nothing. One of his influences was Tal Farlow who virtually invented modern jazz playing and was phenomenally creative.
hi kidpoker007 ! i started to transcribe my tunes, but it got to be to much work so i quit. "all of me" and "white xmas" are the only 2 i put on my channel
This is great Fred I love your videos. I really learn a lot from you.
btw I arranged the wonderfull "Godfather Theme" (speak softly my love) for bossa Nova guitar here on youtube search "Godfather theme bossa nova style (speak softly my love)" its a really catchy melody you might find it inspiring.
Great version freddy with nice video quality on the new mac. i have injured my ring finger on the left hand so cant gig at the moment. It is driving me nuts, but i have been studying your tutorials while i am off the road . keep up the great work, i cant believe you burned out for all that time, you would never know, listen to your playing today. cheers
thx milowagon ! sorry about the injured finger. i hope it gets better soon. this is a good time to practice right hand technique. small precise movements.
Hi, Fred! Your style to play the guitar is very very very pleasant, TASTEFUL to my ears!!! Great guitarist you are (... as always). This one will go to my FAVOURITES.

That is an amazing rendition of Blue Bossa! Outstanding! We must be on the same jazz guitar wavelength or something- I just performed that piece as part of a guitar-bass-piano trio at a recent concert. It is a fun piece to jam with because it is an interesting but straight ahead progression with some nice harmonies and changes. Cool!
I look forward to hearing more! Again- thanks for the info about your guitar and amp pairing- I really like the sound you get from it.
That was wonderful. You played some refreshing phrases, with absolute command of the music. I especially like the maj7#5 chord in the intro: very well placed.
@pabzum thx pablo ! i'm more proud of that maj7#5 than anything else in the tune.glad you noticed it.i would rather hear subtle little things like that than a very fast run.but if i put too much of that in,it becomes sameness.but you know that.you have the biggest ears on the planet.i mean that in a nice way mi amigo
Thanks for the reply Freddy. If you were to tab out your solos and have group membership either on Yahoo or some other site where you can allow or disallow members from joining, you could offer lessons/tabs at a fixed price ever month.
