this would run gta IV at 1080p with all sorts of neat things like 16x anti-aliasing, while the 360 is stuck at 720.

My q66 quad with a single BFG 285 was stronger than a 360, so id say this rig is stronger than a PS3.

another thing about PC's that nobody realities, is that it stops rendering when you minimize, i had prototype and call of duty both going at the same time and would just alt tab between the two with no drop in frames.

we console gamers need the PC to advance technology and show whats possible in the tech rat race but the PC games market is completely and utterly stomped on by the sales numbers on console games. PC stand for Piracy Computing and that where the problem is and always will be, as well as cost, and the fact you can't really get used games for PC's etc...

Pc gaming has expanded allot actually, the amount of free games we get is eminence as-well.

Not to mention the amount of independent development that goes on bringing "actual new games" instead of re-hashes of things we've already played a thousand times over but with a new skin and title.

I don't think anyone should have a problem with consoles being closed systems, it's always been the case. The recession has hit us all. What company is going to invest in a new IP every year or multiple times a year.

The used market ,piracy, development costs and a very thin margin stop them doing this. EA is barely profitable.

@Marazish I can't remember what game it was now but it was a very high profile game and they brought it out on every platfrom except for PC and stated it would actually harm sales across the board if they were to do a port.

At the end of the day, I have a great rig,I tried a couple of games off steam but bugger me was it a chore, patches, drivers, GTA IV wouldn't load with IE 9 installed all that kind of crap. PC's arn't for gaming there for benchmarking and messing with.Anything but games.

Ah~ that's rock stars fault. they didn't relay bother to make sure the game ran properly

with all the anti piracy garbage they shoved into it.

I downloaded a patch and it ran fine on my system, but I'm glad I only paid 10 bucks on steam for it.

Bethesda has never relay used any anti piracy garbage aside from CD keys. and I've purchased

just about everything scene Marrowind.
