I'm fairly sure this is a re-edited compilation of other sources like stuff from "The Mind's Eye" that they put to different music... I definitely recognize parts of it from "The Mind's Eye"
@totoro1591 Well yes, that's how all of these came to be. Odyssey bought the rights to a bunch of animation demo reels, short films, commercials, video game cinematics, etc and mixed them together with some original music. The juggling stuff is "Adam Powers, the Juggler." Several video games make appearances. Etc etc etc. Watch the credits at the end of Imaginaria if you want a full list. Also, view the higher quality upload! This one's going to be deleted.
cool! I never saw this as a kid, but my dad had all the Mind's Eye videos so I watched those a lot... I still like a lot of the segments... someone else put a bunch of those up but the copyright police... yeah... my favorite I think was Nuvogue from The Gate to the Mind's Eye... it has this funny jazz like song with bouncing eyeballs and Abe Lincoln...
These made life worth living as a kid. It took you into a world a dreams and wonder. All nostalgia on YouTube is great... but nothing compares to these!
I am 23 and I thought I was the only one that paid attention to the animusicals. Totally loved them, they touched me in a way that Icannot explain. I tried to find these for so long and my husband remembers them too! One things for sure is TV aint the same anymore
I'm 22 now, and this is slightly embarassing, but when I was a kid watching this... the young girl in this video who sings the part that goes "All that I know, is when I'm grown up I'll be the size to look them in the eye!" her voice touched me. I was in love with her. I would wait for this short circutz thing to come on, it was one of my favorite parts about YTV.
Whatever happened to all that quality programming? Give me Bots Master!
Hahaha! Maybe it was Botz Master, rather than Bots Master. Who knows. And yeah! The After School Zone was the shiz. I still remember really old PJ's like PJ Jenn, and also back when Paul McGuire was a PJ. PJ Katie, PJ Phil too, and "The Gravity Room" was it called? Had cool stuff on it like video games.
Wow I have not seen this for YEARS! I remember this on YTV from when I was like 6-7 yrs old back when YTV was still REALLY good! They should bring something like this back for the kids now only updated for todays standards.
"All that I know, is when I grow up, I'll be the size to look them in the eye".
"Them" refers to the various "things" the two adult singers sing about. When the child grows up and matures, she will be better able to understand the complex, varied world this song describes.
I was watching a TV show about early computer animation, and they played a clip of the magician juggling the shapes. Since then I was on a mission to find this video. When I was a kid, I enjoyed watching this particular short more than I enjoyed watching the shows that were before and after it!!!
you are so right! bring back the good ol' days of sesame street and imaginaria! sad though, i cannot remember the starting and end and everything...well, just a bit
In a world where they actually make complete and perfect sense, take it from me I have this song on my iPod and I listen to it, it's all about things being different, and the views and perspectives that others see things in, and how when we grow up as children we can confront big things that scared us.
Excellent. Thanks for uploading this. I wish YTV would upload their official copies. It could remind us that YTV offered some really good stuff to young people. I remember it like using Logo as my first programming language and now I'm a software developer.
Ugh. First, circles and squares are two-dimensional objects. The three-dimensional analogues are the SPHERE and the CUBE.
Regardless, the things depicted in this video actually have very complicated fractal structure, so they're not that simple. But if you have to approximate, the first one is more like a dodecahedron than a sphere.
Though it's hard to find words that rhyme with "dodecahedron".
Oh, man, this video is awsome! I remember it from my childhood. *happy sighs*
I found nearly all these old short circutz clips, except for one. The song went something like "You can be anything you want to be". But I can't remember specifics, since I only saw it, like, once.
Wow, I always thought I was the only one who got an emotional response from watching these and thinking about the past. I wish I could get a firm grip on the way this made me feel back in the day.
Same here, everyone I talk to about these clips looks at me like: "Wasn't that 10 years ago? I have no idea what you're talking about." But it's great that they're still around here on YouTube.
I have them both, but for boring reasons I can't upload them yet. My computer rebuild has been delayed. The motherboard I ordered in December still hasn't arrived.
