I've only seen 2 shiny's in my life, one was Exeggute, in FireRed, BUT I was in the Safari zone, and GUESS WHAT IT DID, that's right ran. Second time was Pearl and it was a Pelipper, it soon ran out of moves and killed itself with Struggle.

I have never found a wild shiny. (Aside from the guaranteed red gyrados in g/s and hg/ss.) More insult to the 'insult' is my sister had been in the same boat until recently she found what we call the 'golden turd' (A Geodude, and no, she did not nickname it that.)

@XxEpicEmpoleonxX Sounds like your internal battery has run out. that can be fixed. If you've got a game shop around, then they might be able to help you. Or, if you put the cartridge in an envelope and send it to game freak, they'll replace it for you. :) You can find more info on the interwebs.

@Dajacula Something like that kinda happened to me once, I was searching for a female Combee in Platinum (cuz males can't evolve). First off, there's only a 20% chance you'll find a combee at all, but only a 12% chance of it being female. So I found one after 156 tries (I counted -_-) and got a crit with aqua jet and killed it. My friend rofled so hard...
