My mam and her sisters are/were from cork. Never heard this to the day of my mam's funeral. It was right. We interred them all at raccooney (yes I know all you corkers that I just spelt that wrong).
Wonderful song....does anyone remember two old musicians , husband and wife? ...accordion and oboe, who used to play this on Patrick street...I heard them once in Dublin in the 1990s.

Sean Ose',Born and raised in West Cork in a family of traditional singers fluent in the Irish language, O'Se arrived in Cork City as a young man and studied classical voice. With this diverse training, he came to the attention of composer Seán O'Riada, who was experimenting with arranging and presenting Irish traditional music on the concert stage.
