Just a quick question, do people realise this is fake and just as scripted as any scene from a movie? I mean "he deserved to win etc" doesn't really hold value in such a "match"
This was a boring match. This was 3 yrs ago and Matt Cross is still boring in the ring. He has all the talent in the world but it looked to me that Christopher Daniels worked really hard to try to get this guy over.

They eliminated him, I think, as a backhand to indy wrestling, I think offends WWE if someone made it without FCW or OVW, or whatever their current training program is. You can see the resentment and reluctance in the storylines of indy stars in WWE.
You're right Matt Cross was not supposed to win Tough Enough it was predetermined Andy would win and yes Andy and Christina Crawford already had contracts in FCW for WWE developmental. But Yes Matt is way better then Andy or Luke.
People please! Enough about tough enough. The show was scripted, and Matt Cross didn't win or lose. He just did what he was supposed to do the way the show was written. Do you think Trish Stratus would have any real business telling Matt Cross what to do? From what you see here, you should be wondering why these guys get the kind of treatment they get in WWE with the matches generally being less entertaining as this.
How do you know Tough Enough is scripted? Obviously Smackdown, NXT, Raw etc are scripted but I don't believe Tough Enough was. I know for a fact that the earlier seasons of Tough Enough were not scripted but I don't know about this one,

On top of that, there was reported contraversy around the casting considering that there were some popular indy guys involved. And lastly, Andy already had a contract before the season started. He's been with FCW for a while.

I don't know if you heard but the guy who won tough enough already had a WWE contract. He was an FCW guy who came on the show and they just simply moved him up to the main roster.
Everytime anyone does anything on TE that is not choreographed the trainers have a fit. They would have gotten rid of Matt even if he did do this because he was going out on his own and not what they were instructing. Im almost positive we will see Matt again, TE let someone spectacular slip through their fingers without even knowing it. Makes you wonder if they researched the contestants going on to know their capabilitites or was it all based off of auditions?

Matt Cross isn't a loudmouth who'll humiliate himself on TV; I think that has more to do with the eliminations on Tough Enough than actual in-ring ability. Miss USA will get an easy ride because she's a semi-personality. Cross would have ended up in the same position as Low Ki, Dragon, Sydal, Cabana et al., anyway; made fun of for being an 'internet' wrestler by the out-of-touch people who run the company and used to get the 'real talent' over, namely the clones they're pumping out at FCW.

I think that ROH needs to get more main event level wrestlers on their roster so that they can expand more. Hopefully, Christopher Daniels will be loyal to ROH and not go back to TNA in the middle of a storyline. ROH should get Teddy Hart (even though he's a complete A-hole), Jack Evans, Paul London and others like that. Matt Cross should return cause he is a great athlete and an exciting wrestler.

They did steal that. Kofi has been using it for a while, but he didn't create it. Madoka did. A Japanese wrestler. WWE steals tons of moves from the Japanese because most of the WWE marks don't watch Japanese Wrestling.
I stopped watching wrestling in 2004 because it just didn't appeal to me anymore. That doesn't mean that I don't respect what these guys do. I remember reading about Christopher Daniels when I followed wrestling intensely when I was in college and was wondering if he was as good as advertised. I must say, this was a fun match. I remember reading that ROH was a real no-BS promotion.

Matt Cross isn't a loudmouth who'll humiliate himself on TV; I think that has more to do with the eliminations on Tough Enough than actual in-ring ability. Miss USA will get an easy ride because she's a semi-personality. Cross would have ended up in the same position as Low Ki, Dragon, Sydal, Cabana et al., anyway; made fun of for being an 'internet' wrestler by the out-of-touch people who run the company and used to get the 'real talent' over, namely the clones they're pumping out at FCW.

Problem is for Matt where Tough Enough is concerned, the 'E already have one high flyer who's shit on the mic in Matt 'Evan Bourne' Sydal; that being said, I wouldn't be too surprised if he showed up in New York in a year or two... whatever happened on Tough Enough, he's had international exposure as a result.

And how many of them might be likely to go see him work an indy show in their town as a result thinking "that was the guy who was on Tough Enough, who can do crazy 450 Shooting Star Elbow Drops"? That's what I meant by 'national exposure' - he's a bigger draw now than he was before he was on Tough Enough. :)

I think that ROH needs to get more main event level wrestlers on their roster so that they can expand more. Hopefully, Christopher Daniels will be loyal to ROH and not go back to TNA in the middle of a storyline. ROH should get Teddy Hart (even though he's a complete A-hole), Jack Evans, Paul London and others like that. Matt Cross should return cause he is a great athlete and an exciting wrestler.

I stopped watching wrestling in 2004 because it just didn't appeal to me anymore. That doesn't mean that I don't respect what these guys do. I remember reading about Christopher Daniels when I followed wrestling intensely when I was in college and was wondering if he was as good as advertised. I must say, this was a fun match. I remember reading that ROH was a real no-BS promotion.
