hey i have a 2000 eclipse and i lost my liscense, and its gone for about 2 months if im good lol, but ive ben getting really bored and wanted to start fixing my car, cuz it beats buying a brand new one im just wondering if its worth getting the basic performances up on the car im honestly nowhere near a mechanic but i work with a couple and have about 3 grand to spend any tips?
first off. i love 3g eclipses but im sorry to say, im pretty sure hes no where near 534 and if he is. tell him to upgrade his brakes as he is still runing on drums.

@niggerslaugh2 no offence but the 4cyl with stock internals are actually better than the v6. there extremely easy to boost, im running 12psi daily with no problems. trust me i walk away from the v6's. there not bad engines ive driven my brother in laws they do have alot of torque. but the pistons on them r shit. its nearly impossible to turbo them on stock internals, im not sure i dont think u could with out blowing ur engine. 4g64 ftw! hahaha

Careful what you say there. The I4 eclipse is hella easy to mod. Evo 4g63 drops right in, need I say more? However the V6 has rediculous power potential as well. I'm building mine with an M112 blower.
i have a 4g64 bt use the dohc head and turbo off of a 99 gst, damn things got almost 400whp and only cost me 2300 to fab up, so yeah they are some easy engines to mod up.
actualy, mclaren created tha ultimate engine that dosent needa turbo, lol get that right.. and tha strongest engine honda has is the f20 tha strongest 4cyl eva, except tha 4g63 but like u said its turbo, but still holds the 4cyl record.. go mitsubishi
i doubt that... i simple t3/t4 turbo with a external wastegate and a less restricting exhaust system with a good tune can make up to 300hp... beating most imports and competes against wrx stis and evos

I guess it's neat and all to "say" you turbo'd a N/A car, but a Honda foundation would've given more torq per dollar. Clean looking black/black 3g, but I would drop those tail lights and front clear lenses, rice FTL. Just my .02

nice eclipse. in stock form the 4g64 aint a real powerful engine but they are strong as hell. so many people dislike the 3g eclipse and i don't know why, RIPP mods constantly builds 3g's with well over 350-400 whp.
ya my eclipse i had to put a new tranny in it and bunch of motor stuff in it too, ive probily spent like 4g's to get it fixed but i took it to a shopso it cost alot more

Careful what you say there. The I4 eclipse is hella easy to mod. Evo 4g63 drops right in, need I say more? However the V6 has rediculous power potential as well. I'm building mine with an M112 blower.

i have a 4g64 bt use the dohc head and turbo off of a 99 gst, damn things got almost 400whp and only cost me 2300 to fab up, so yeah they are some easy engines to mod up.

I totally agree. I wouldn't consider a 3g a putang magnet considering they look like an old school GrandAm. I guess it's neat and all to "say" you turbo'd a N/A car, but a Honda foundation would've given more torq per dollar. Clean looking black/black 3g, but I would drop those tail lights and front clear lenses, rice FTL. Just my .02

nice eclipse. in stock form the 4g64 aint a real powerful engine but they are strong as hell. so many people dislike the 3g eclipse and i don't know why, RIPP mods constantly builds 3g's with well over 350-400 whp.

ya my eclipse i had to put a new tranny in it and bunch of motor stuff in it too, ive probily spent like 4g's to get it fixed but i took it to a shopso it cost alot more
