I had 'Fairytale In The Supermarket' stolen, then the album 'Looking In The Shadows' also stolen. I finally got a copy of the CD for £40...people said "No CD is worth that much", but I think I got it for a song..(Well,twelve superb songs). Definitely the the most overlooked band in the world.
watching the you play this at the lambeth womens project this year was one the absolute highlights of my decade. i love you! it's difficult to think of a band more inspiring.
the raincoats reformed in about 1994 thanks to interest by Kurt and Courtney. This was one of the songs they did for John Peel that yr, 14 yr's after their last Peel session. I never knew it had a video, thanks for posting !
Y'know Thurstone Moore knew Kurt Cobain's suicide after night he excited in Raincoats live at N.Y. Then Moore says R.S.like i should've took Kurt to their live, he should be better to stop kill'imself.
It's my 1st time to listen Raincoats and i gotta understand vaguely to Moore's word.
So glad you posted! Anything by the Raincoats is a rare treat. Everything on the "Looking in the Shadows" album is worth hearing. Long live the Raincoats!
Great stuff, though I am embarrassed to say it's the first raincoats record I ever bought. I was a bit late wasn't I.

@4earth2water0: it's from Fatal Attraction. It means jilted obsessives.
I disagree mind. I think all three are lovely - and especially the one with the Wallace and Gromit accent.
