I don't believe the Philippines is composed of 100% theists. I think the numbers of theists are drastically overstated, both in the Philippines and the USA.

I think there are huge numbers of people who go through the motions of religion because they've been trained to. They would never believe in god if they ever thought about it.

Good questions. Free will would look like effect following a cause in reverse.

Indeed a god with the properties described would have the knowledge of all events in all realities before they are created (if you can progress time in a linear form beyond the start of this and any other universes). In a mechanistic view only god would have the power to change any outcome and free will would be an illusion.

I find it a lot more gratifying to remove god and accept free will as the reality.
