Just bought it and wonder which difficultysetting to choose. In this review it seems as if there only are two to choose from, Human= Easy or Demon Hunter= Hard (if i understodd it right). I wonder if Human is too easy and Demon Hunter too hard. Why isn't there a normal difficultysetting as in the previous games in the series?.

The only game that beats the devil may cry in my opinion is god of war, and that is only because the story rocks and the gameplay at least gives you breaks from fighting by doing puzzles and so on

But god of war actually has a pretty simple combat system that lacks the variety in some points

And among the games that are really only about taking a step and getting attacked by another ton of enemies, Devil May Cry is the best...although I surely do not know every hack n slay in the world

Lack of weapons compared to the first one is one thing. lazy back tracking, oh there's another one. Let's not forget the fact that Nero only has two weapons throughout the entire game. The Yamato blade doesn't count since he actually does NOT use it. WAY shorter and easier than the other.

Oh and did I mention that they threw in Dante last minute just as some sad attempt to please the fans?

mmm.... ive played this game on at least 3 difficulties....this game has abt 7 difficulties... u get them when u finish the game. 1 of the difficulties that i tried to play on was soo hard that the easiest mob can do damage of 5 health bars or so... and bosses r as hard as shit! i managed to defeat the first boss with finishing like 10-20 health potions and some holy waters too which barely took any effect....and from wht ive played this game should get a 9/10 at least

well theres a button for sword attacks, a button for guns, its not like ninja gaiden, where u have light and heavy hits. and id say its worth it,because the first time through ur gonna start with a few moves, but ur gonna want to play it through again with all ur unlocked moves, and the music is not too annoying for me, but hey its up to u to decide

I got it for the PC and when you got HD and a ATI card the ATI card seems to make the light a little too shiny on surfaces witch makes it blinding the shadows seemed to be a lot better because of vertical sync etc ive also seemed to notice that it only dose it when its on the highest quality setting but ofc Nvidia is all over the cover and such so i think that might be why and no score for PC version other than the lighting its fantastic probably becouse its Nvidia rendered not ATI tho

I have never played any of the Devil May Cry games. But it looks to be the same all the way through, just beating up enemies and jumping around. There are too many games that look just like it. The X-Men Origins game for example.

It also has that Prince Of Persia vibe to it.
