F-86 had a better engine type that became the standard for all subsequent modern jets. MIG-15 had a better climb rate & 20mm cannon while the early F-86s only had .50cal. MGs, but later F-86s had 20mm cannon. F-86 was a better dogfighter, more manueverable than the MIG-15, but the MIG-15 was a great plane.
Even the older P-80 Shooting Star did OK, & 14 P-80s were lost to MIG-15s but the P-80s shot down 17 MIGs.

The MIG is superior over the F-86 in pure aerodynamics and fighter power. The F-86 is superior in pilot control, gun sights, and internal electronics. Too bad we couldn't marry the two back then. The resulting plane would have been unbeatable.

@BaranovV The reason the USSR eventually beat the Germans was because of the individual courage and toughness of the Soviet soldier. Stalin was actually a very poor tactician and military thinker. He sacrificed millions of his soldiers by sheer stubbornness and ego. There would have been millions more Russians alive at war's end if not for his hammer and anvil approach. I greatly admire the Soviet soldier's and aircrews for overcoming astronomical odds. Stalin I have zero respect for.

Some are veterans like myself, & some have no families because of deaths, loss of jobs due to economic ups & downs, & some became homeless due to alcohol & drug abuse, etc. Same problems exist all over the world, yet the fact remains that the number of homeless people in the USA is small, & there are indeed homeless shelters, both private & public, & also families help their own members.

After the Russian Civil War, the USA decided to trade with the USSR because it was no longer deemed a threat after its defeat during the Polish war, & Lennin changed his tune a bit. It is possible that some USA & other nations' goods reached nazi Germany through Portugal & Spain but no fuel, weapons, metals, etc. got to Germany from the Allies because export of those materials was stopped except to Allied nations.

Yes, some Korean refugees were shot by UN troops because North Korean infiltrators were using them to infiltrate, however, the North Koreans burchered tens of thosuands of South Korean civilians & UN POWs, & UN troops did not so this on anywhere near the same scale, although it happened as it does in every war.

Russia did not 'rescue' the entire world neither in WWI, WWII, nor against the Mongols!! After Kniaz Dmitir Donskoy beat the Mongols at Kulikovo, ~10 or so years later the Monglos struck back & burnt Moscow etc. Even Novgorod was a vassal of the Mongols, although the Mongols didn't take the city because of the lakes & swamps around it so they made a peace.

Yes, the MIG-15 was a great plane, one of my favorites, but the F-86 Sabre had an overall advantage except in rate of climb, altitude, & initial long range armament of the MIG-15. Later F-86 had 20mm cannon.

Yes, I saw the movie, & the Nazi flag was a sign of protest & irony & FYI many USA troops including high ranking officers, & civilians were not in favor of the war. During WWII Soviet troops recieved bonuses for destroying or capturing German equipment. Very capitalistic & mercenary for a communist nation to give its troops such bonuses. USA troops recieved no such bonuses.

F-86 had a better engine type that became the standard for all subsequent modern jets. MIG-15 had a better climb rate & 20mm cannon while the early F-86s only had .50cal. MGs, but later F-86s had 20mm cannon. F-86 was a better dogfighter, more manueverable than the MIG-15, but the MIG-15 was a great plane.
Even the older P-80 Shooting Star did OK, & 14 P-80s were lost to MIG-15s but the P-80s shot down 17 MIGs.

lol i just watched a show on this also on youtube where it said the americans claimed they had a 10 to 1 ratio of F-86 vs MiG-15 and here they make it 13 to 1. It gets better over-night for them doesn't it? lol

if you seat monkey in F-22 & good pilot in MIG-15... ratio 10 to 0 of MIG-15 vs F-22, just korean pilot's was very poor trained + american propaganda... MIG-15 with good trained russian pilot's had good ratio against F-86. sorry for bad english))
