But really she did actually say when questioned about alaska's proximity to Russia and how it helps her foreign policy; you can actually see russia from alaska and when Putin enters United States airspace,Alaska is what he sees first.

She also had to know about the Alaskan Air Force and Coast Guard she was in charge of being so close to Russia. And the closed point between Alaska and Russia Is 2.5 miles.
