  • الاسد يبقة اسد اشكد ماتتكاثر سجاجينه.بطل مو بيك نشات ولله عمي لاعب بالقران.

  • his not playing with manchester city no-more :{

  • he may yet come to city, politicians in england are petitioning the home office to allow him to come.

  • i hope so...but it wont be easy

  • this is fucked up, talented players can't play because of their "nationality" I hope this changes

  • yea they say the ranking has to be over 70 or sumthing, but they got players from new zealand which is below 100. i think there just racist.

  • up the blues

  • welcome to manchester city nashat, this guy looks a promising player hopefully he will turn out to be another ali benarbia who became a city legend in the 2 seasons he was with us.

  • don't know that player (ali benarabia, just know he's algerian) but hopefully he won't disappoint u guys. thanks for the welcome unlike a lot of other fans.

  • benarbia was a gifted attacking midfielder with a great eye for a killer pass he won player of the year in france 1999 playing for psg.anyone not giving new players a chance to show us what they can do are idiots and should be ignored.

  • مبروووووووووووووووك با عراقي يا بطل كل عراقي رفعة راس والله

  • watch your mouth.

No need to use such words!

  • were u talking about me? i didn't say anything bad.

  • Not you ahmed

    It was another comment

    Regards,

    NashatAkramNet

  • oh, ic, u deleted it. ok, thanks.

  • why would they get players from iraq? why would they even go to iraq? saddam stopped everything from happening. he was really helpful by torturing the players too and causing all those wars. who would even think of iraq when they have a whole world to get players from?

it sucks, but that's the truth. now nashat is hopefully gonna open the way for other players. iraq needs to get better, especially the government, then the true iraq will appear as it is starting to now.

  • i'm tired of waiting, i at least want to see him in manchester at the press conference. i want to see him play, but at least the press conference!

  • wd nash'at !

best of wishes from all ! : )

  • yes nashat u are gre8 mate

  • Oh this is so GREAT for Iraq, i am so happy. This is what our country needs, I hope more Iraqi players get a chance to play in Europe. Lets show the world what we are made of!

Thnx to SaxonBeatrixPippa for the kind words, we as Iraqis really appreciate that :)

  • مبروك للعراق مبروك الى اسد من اسود العراق الابطال

  • Its better for him, money doesnt matter. fittiness is more important

  • Well, thanks to the wonders of modern technology I watched the whole Asian Cup for the first time. Of course everyone wanted Iraq to win...I don't know, I'm just not going to start patronizing him...somehow, I don't think the English are producing a lot of good players...do you? Also, I am quite flattered, sort of like when a guest comes to your house, you understand?

  • yes i understand what u mean, we r all friends despite what other ignorant people keep saying. iraqis r peaceful people despite what the media shows. years of dictatorship and now terrorism destroyed the country and the spirits of the people. the players were tortured also for losing. now things r getting much better and hopefully iraq will move forward in more than just football. there is a lot of potential.

  • sorry about this, "xLaboon" is my younger brother's account and he was signed in before me. forgot to log out, lol.

anyway, i think there r good english players, but they seem to play better for their clubs than for their country. there is a problem i think, i agree.

  • Hehehe...nope, I'm English...blonde hair, blue eyes too LOL. Why? I saw him play in the Asian Cup...I thought the entire team was very good, but I liked his style. The courage of the whole team, amazing, truly amazing. I hope he proves all the doubters wrong...

  • thanks a lot for ur words. i was just wondering how a non-iraqi would know about him and why he would care about him. only european players r known world-wide. i agree, he's a great player and i hope this works out and more players go to europe. iraq is in need of this.

thanks again and good luck to nashat.

  • LOL...I've been doing the Newsnow thing myself.

  • yea, lol.

  • Right. So you've been tracking this as well :-). Thanks very much for your time. He'll surely get a work permit! Let's hope it works out and he gets some playing time.

  • no problem, i like him and i hope everything works out too. great for iraqis in general.

r u iraqi btw? if not why do u care so much about this player?

  • Thanks for that, but the question is, has he signed a contract? If he's going to the UAE tomorrow, when's the press conference? When is he coming back? If he hasn't signed, when is he going to? What's the hold up? On his website yesterday (his website is off-line today) he said that there would be a press conference today (Thursday).

    Thanks!

  • i know, but he didn't say anything about the press conference. it's supposed to be today. i think everything has been signed, all that's left is something involving a work permit and another thing with his club al-ain. the man city coach thinks everything will be finished int he coming days but he says he is not sure if nashat is ready to play this season.

  • for the latest news go to ___news.google.com____ and search for "nashat akram"

  • mustafa al-agha: "u told me yesterday that u didn't even bring clothes, did u buy those yesterday? (laughs)"

nashat: "i didn't realize it was so cold (laughs)"

"i don't think money is the most important thing here, because it's great to play in the english premier league, the best league in the world, with the 4th highest ranked currently (man city)."

"i think al-ain club for giving me the opportunity to come here and wish them luck."

  • last sentence, "i THANK al-ain..."

sorry, i can't translate everything here due to the limit on how much i can write, but that is basically what was important. it's pretty official now and the man city coach has spoken today officially saying that he hopes he will come and all that is left is something about a work permit (something like that), which is easy. he says he is very impressed with his training with the team and that nashat is "one for the future."

  • some of what is said:

"yes u can say congratulations, to all arabs."

    "no problem with yasser alqahtani"

"man city asked for me to go try out there but i refused and asked them to come see me. that's what happened and i went for medical check-ups."

"i've been training with the team for the past 3 days and i'm very happy."

"tomorrow (today) i am going back to dubai."

  • Can someone translate please? This news does not seem to have been released in England.

  • Can someone PLEASE translate? This news has yet to be released in England! He HAS signed then?????

  • whats does he say

  • i will translate some of it soon for u.

  • Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations

  • Congratulations :)

  • congratulations!! for the iraqi"s and arabs around the world!!

    viva iraq!!!

  • congratulations to him, great player, and also congrats for all iraqis.
