I'd kinda feel better about the dubs if they didn't carry over all of the Japanese suffixes with them. I was maybe two minutes into the first episode and I might've counted -san being used at least five or so times. It's weird for the mixed Japanese grammar to still be in English, if you know what I'm saying. But yeah, it's just little things that turn me away from the dub. It seems like a fine dub, just a little odd in certain ways.

@plasmalight222 Sorry, but I just find that the English voices. I dunno, I just don't find that an English voice meshes well with a Japanese character. Interestingly enough, the only dub that was good was Baccano, and all the characters were American.

The English dub is fine. Some voices fit better (Konata) and some don't (Tsukasa).

As for Akira Kogami, Stephanie Sheh is better at the sleazy-sounding lines than the cute persona. The Japanese actress is better at the cute persona.

@LeFatTurkey Frankly, I think that the dubber is pretty much spot on. You really don't get any closer to the original voice in a different language than this. I have to say that Sheh was perfect considering that there will ALWAYS be a difference when it's in another language. My props to Stephanie. But yeah, the cute voice does voice a little forced. I guess it can't be helped though.

@LeFatTurkey I think that the Japanese voices fit better. All of them. If Konata had glasses and weighed about 200 pounds, then maybe her dub voice would've fit better. I do agree that Lucky Star's dub is better than most dubs, though.
