  • im not suprised cuz i got 2 Caddys ;-D

  • @BLACKLACDTS Too bad a mid 70s trans am is slower than dog shit...go look at the horsepower numbers and u will see that is nothing to brag about.

  • most people would think that the corvette would win ... but anyone who knows about cars knows that Cadillac's speed in 2nd - 3rd gear is EXTREMELY underrated.

  • i got a 2001 cadillac sts its the fucken business way better than my bmw 325i and way better than my 99 mercedez e-420 i fucken love my cadillac thats my baby

  • This is so fuckin BADASS!!!!

  • I own a 95 Cadillac Sedane Deville 4.9L Northstar ... Is a powerful car... I Love it!

  • @jammingcats there is no 4.9 northstar. its a 4.6 or the 4.9 is not a northstar.

  • @jammingcats ive had a 4.9L and those are bad ass cars they was it was in a 91 caddy but they wont hold a candle to the 4.6L northstars

  • I own a Cadillac Sedane Deville 4.9L Northstar ... Is a powerful car... I Love it!

  • I just got a 97 deville rear wheel drive 4.6L v8 cost for repairs are expensive but the cars got balls to the wall power I plan to add after market parts aka Cat back exhaust K&N Cold Air Intake any suggestion

  • @Vakbry1981 you better hold on to that! its a 1 of 1! they didnt make a rear wheel drive 4.6 northstar caddy in 97.

  • lool, this is hilarious, i cant decide between my dads corvette or caddy, he has the same corvette 1980 i think buh the same eldorado

  • The Caddy would be so much faster off the start if it was rwd

  • Modified I assume. What mods? My '96 STS runs 14.6 at 95MPH.

  • how can you run an 11.94 at 90.54 and 12.2 at 82? those speeds seem way too low

  • just read through the comments and now i understand

  • I buy it. I have the same car and always tell my friends i can beat them in a race. Its clear, all you have to do is look at the massive V8

  • pound for pound that Cadillac was stronger than the 'vette. Two American icons, i love it. sorry to read that your N* blew up. Let me guess, some headbolts pulled outta the block. the engineers got it right with the Northstar except for that one major fault. damit!

  • what engine u got on or its all stalk

  • stock my man stock, stalk is creepy

  • LMAO

  • those r both gorgeous cars....i own 2 caddys myself so this is always fun to see=)

  • are cadillacs expensive to fix? i mean like something little its wrong wit it dont they charge you alot of money

  • damn what'd you do to that caddy's engine

  • removed the cat and resonator and a fastchip...this is only 1000ft not a full 1/4.

  • would removing the cat and the rensonator hurt the caddy or tear it up? cause i'm thinking about removing mine..

  • It definitely accelerates faster than a real boat. Except you can still use it on a rainy day.

  • that was a 95 deville look at his other vids. northstars rock im fer sure gunnu get one for my first car but not sure what. how does a deville compare to a seville and an eldo?

  • same engine just heavier...my northstar blew up so no more caddy for me...picking up a 99 WS6 friday so i'm not too sad about it

  • what happen to that caddy cozzey05 how did it blew up what went wrong?

  • @cozzey05 how did it blow up?

  • @TheDylan222222 had 190k. threw a rod through the bottom of the block.

  • @cozzey05 are they relieible cars? thinkin bout gettin a deville or seville

  • @cozzey05 i dont know a lot about the older caddys but i thought the sts and eldorado had more power then the deville.

  • @BLACKLACDTS its a 95, I was able to get a chip from Fastchip in Tulsa OK. 96 and newer has an OBDII and they're kinda screwed as far as tuning is concerned. Also didn't have a cat or resonator. She was a beast on top end. Highest I trapped was almost 93 mph in the 1000ft. My LS1 is running mid 12's in the 1/4 @ 111 and only trapped a best of 97.6 or so. best time in the 1000 was 11.7 with caddy, ls1's best is 10.6. That FWD blows off the line lol

  • @BLACKLACDTS not more power just suppose to have less weight, the Vin 9 cars have more peak hp but far less tq. the Vin Y motors have more power until about 5600 or so then the Vin 9 motor passes it. look up some OEM dyno charts of the motor and you'll see what i'm talking about. My deville weighed in at 3750 with no battery and no gas in the tank. two different scales came within just a few lbs from each other

  • @cozzey05 the vin 9 cars are 300hp and the others are 275hp. i have a 03 dts vin 9 300hp.

  • @BLACKLACDTS I know, what i'm saying is that the vin y motor makes more tq throughout the chart and makes more horsepower up until about 5600. The best advantage of having a vin 9 motor is that you get 3.71 ratio in the tranny over the 3.11 in the vin y.

If you have a hard time believing my Deville managed to pull a 13.9 in the 1/4 then consider a stock Deville ran 15.2 @ 92. My car hits the same mark in only 11.7 seconds

  • @cozzey05 as much as the caddy owner and lover in me wants to believe you its just sumthing i would have to see.

  • @cozzey05 look at it from my stand point your tellin me your car picked up 13 tenths of a second(over a second) from a fastchip,no cat and no resonator. i seen a guy with a 95 sts with the same mods say hes runnin those times but no proof. and the sts is lighter then the deville and different gearing. oh and that "13 second" sts lost to a trailblazer ss which is 14.0 truck stock and he beat the caddy by a car.

  • @BLACKLACDTS believe what you want, a stock tbss will rape a northstar off the line.

  • @cozzey05 thats what im geting at. how can they run the same time but the tbss jump it off the line? is he sayin that the caddy is catching up to the tbss? . idk bro your caddy rolled. if you check out yank converters website they have a 2000 sts with only a 3000 rpm stall converter runnin 13s! the trick to caddys? my 03 dts is strong and upset many of cars and i would even say it would give my tbss a run on the highway from a higher mph. my dts kept up with a newer 7 series bmw on the highway!

  • @BLACKLACDTS A tbss can pull a 1.8 60ft bone stock, the best I ever had in the caddy was 2.17. I've seen a tbss run high 13's in the 1/4 without even hitting 100 mph. Kinda like the vette I raced in this video, he pulled me like crazy off the line and I didn't catch him until the 1/8 mile. by the time we crossed the line I was going 8 mph faster than he was. I'm not going to lie the day I ran a 13.9 it was about 45 degrees and the track was prepped very good.

  • @cozzey05 ok if your tellin me hat was the best out of the car i believe you. i would imagine it normaly ran 14s. most tbss hit 100mph stock. mine did a 13.80 at 101mph and mine is the slower all wheel drive. i never took the caddy to the track but i figure 15.0s due to numerous races i won over cars slower then that. my car is 100% stock and i beat a mid 70s trans am 6.6 by a car! lol before we ran he said "i know those caddys are quick" its hard to get 3 cars to the track.lol

  • @HaloSpartan86 .. dont get a seville they're cheap ! deville's are for old woman! eldorado is for sure the way to go ! trust me i own several old cadi's . i have a 70 eldorado with a 500 ci engine very fast!!!

  • nice going man thats the Lt1 motor right check out my 2 videos if you woule like 1993 cadillac fleetwood brougham budget resto" here on youtube thanks man ...

  • awsome car...

  • thanks man

  • your welcome..

  • Caddies own everything they are speed luxery and fuel economy. I have a 96' Fleetwood with an LT1 Vet engine in it totally stock 0-60 in 4 seconds. I get 25mpg too:P.

  • fleetwoods with lt1's ran high 7 second 0-60 times man... they had a different cam profile than the camaro/vette lt1 did.

the new 500hp vettes run mid to high 3sec 0-60s.

dont mean to BE mean but theres no way in hell a stock lt1 fleetwood comes close to 4sec 0-60.

my 97 eldorado etc does 0-60 around mid 6 sec' and im about a second and a half faster than a 96 fleetwood stock.

  • This caddy isnt an LT1 though

  • yes, the 93-96 fleetwoods are. and i think thats a fleetwood from one of those years. hes absolutely right, the lt1s used in the b-body and d-body (all 4000+ pound cars) have a different cam profile for more torque but less high speed power because of the weight

  • this is a northstar

  • front or rear weel? i honestly thought it was a fleetwood lol

  • its front

  • Yea an LT1 caddy just ain't doing a 0-60 in 4 seconds, just is not happening. Especialy stock, a stock LT1 in a vette does a 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and just having a different cam will not make up 1.5 seconds and 2000 lbs more weight.

  • That's a badass Deville. My '90 Sedan Deville has a bit of umph to it, but not like the Deville in this video.

  • how is your trap speed only 90mph for an 11.94..doesnt sound right to me..

  • its a 1000 ft track...longer than an 1/8 mile but shorter than 1/4

  • That's funny, you get the EXACT same 60's I do in my seville.

  • i have 3.11 ratio...some of the guys with the 3.71's can get 2.0-2.1. watch my 0-113 and you'll see what i'm talking about...dog off the line but about 30 she takes off

  • what kinda tires you got on that?

  • Don't get me wrong, 2.2's are good for these 4000 lb boats. I have 3.71 final in my STS, but I spin like mad. I just need to get to a descent track and run a better tire. Have any 1/8th mile or 1/4 times for that car?

  • 1/8 mile was a 9.3 at 78 and i've managed to get a 2.19 60 ft but i dont think i can do much better

what did your car run in the 1/4?

  • With my current setup, I've only ran at a 1/8th mile track. It had no prep at all and it was 92* out. I ran consistant 9.4's at 77. I kept the traction control on, I seem to get better 60's this way. Have you ever compared with the TC on/off? I'll be hitting up Lapeer Raceway in a few weeks. The air is much cooler now here (55*-60*)

  • what are u running ?
