I live in Canada and I believe that the country which I inhabit should make more of an effort to grant rights to First Nations people. When First Nations communities move toward self-government, the government of Canada immediately claims that this will lead to the separation of the Canadian state. This is not true. Aboriginal people wish to share the land with Canadians, they only wish to have control over their own culture, as was promised in the treaties.
The Declaration for Indiginous people would smash Globilization and have us return to Nationalism worldwide; the natural order. Who are the colonizers? In each nation it's different isn't it? What about the jews into Pallestine aren't they colonizers and commiting genocide of the Palestinian people even worst and more cruelly than what was done to the American Indian? When colonization is talked about it's always in terms of the white man and this is intentional, i.e. Neo-Marxism/anti-White.
My indigenous brothers and sisters we have to fight against this western disease so call corporate, globalization and industrialization. Greetings from Kirati. native of the Himalayas, Nepal. Like all other indigenous people of the world, my land was invaded by Aryan from northern India in 330AD. Kirat ancient civilization was destroyed and our language, culture and religion were suppressed by these invaders. Today we are fighting back.

last census in canada they added metis in the native head count now this next census they are adding metis under the age of 18 to birth date .why -so it will show that the native population has increased -but what i see is cuts to reservations causing harsher conditions to live inturn lowering the pop.
that is why my family has boycott the govern census
And now that there is a centre right government in New Zealand instead of a patronising centre left one, Doctor Pita Sharples has signed the Declaration on behalf of New Zealand. Mauri ora everybody!
new zealand, australia and united states refused to sign the declaration on indigenous rights even thou new zealand Maori, australian Aloriginals and american indian are all recognised as indigenous people.
Although Australia has since signed the declaration of Indigenous rights. I am ashamed to say the same is not true of New Zealand yet (where I live). Although I imagine the knowledge that these four countries know they are highly guilty of abuses against their indigenous peoples was quite influential.
I may not have answers to all the questions spread around the globe,in 1995 I did an exhibition of Kalash tribe from Asia, and I wrote to the then sec gen ,as within a time span of 10 years which united nations was agreed to celebrate ,I was full of joy That Kalash will be preserved,
So many years later with sheer Hard work of
sommer films my tribe can be seen among so many other people ,I am again requesting for Preservation of kalash to be declared as a UN Protected site please help US ,
My question is can we claim our landrights that have not been given to us for ages with this declaration? Or need we go first to the united nations? our village is blanco at the kadastre and our hunting and fishingground is already given away to friends of the ministers and presedents of our country......
same with many other tribes or peoples, they had their land n stuff taken. i think it is bullshit that the USA hasnt signed this yet, im lakota. that really pissed me off, just what i need, another punch below the belt. well at least the U.N. tried.
How can you build a relationship between those that value simplicity and Mother Earth vs those that defy every natural law of the universe, "no less than other people" the arrogance stuns me. Take a lesson from those whom persevered and sanctified the lands for thousands of years. What is so damn complicated oh yeah I forgot, money the root to all evil... we put our kids in daycare and our parents old folk homes, and they care for one another, take a lesson - industrialization drives the 7 sins
Why is that there are no known coined terms for when a multi-national corporation comes in to another county and buys out the government to extract the natural resources like rubber, oil, and plants to make medicines for pharmaceutical companies? I believe that this is "Eco-Terrorism" and is the best word to describe these mafia government activities.

The Assyrians are the indigenous people of Mesopotamia. This is a historical fact.
What will the UN do to give the Assyrians their land back?
So far I see nothing!
