It's not a mountain bike, It's a dirt jump bike. You wouldn't take a trail bike on huge jumps because they're to heavy. The specs on my marin competition series san quentin say that it is a dirt jump, and not a mountain bike

There are some hazy areas though, for example the company kona makes bikes that are ride-able on dirtjumps and single track.

Very cool. Not really a MTB in my opinion, but still its bigger than a BMX which makes it cooler. Not all dirts the same though, you can ride any bike on the street, but I have yet to see a rigid 24" bike do any downhill riding. Still a cool video.
