  • De tijd kan men niet terug draaien!!

    De muziek gelukkig wel!!!!!

  • not bad for americans.

  • No need for another version. This is the best.

  • @joGrim1 ....We had our say to an out of control racist .

....At least we did our part .

    ....Let's hope other's care .

  • The vocals, arrangement, instrumentation, melody & lyrics make this one of pop music's magic performances. A half century later it shimmers with the same scintillating brilliance it had back in 1962. That era was the high point in American culture, a time when we were at last moving forward toward peace, prosperity, egalitarian justice, diversity & personal distinction. We shared the spirit of all being made in the Divine Image, reflected in our music.

  • I dont understand how anyone can like Michael Buble version more than this one! these are the classics!

  • @ruu17 who the fuck is michael buble?

  • @littleprincess217 its this singer who makes his own version of all these songs! write in youtube michael buble "save the last dance for me"

  • Awww! :)

  • Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @6robyc ...You piece of s..t .How dare you post that .

  • @cuteoldguy Shut up you dumb pedophile "cuteoldguy"? You're a disgusting old bitch.

  • Ummm. How deeply The Drifters touched your every nerve with this beautiful classic piece of music. The sensuality of this era will never be duplicated. Artists like The Drifters used their voices only to express what was felt far deeper in their minds and bodies: Their souls. Unforgettable. If only music continued to be of this caliber. Warning to the bourgeois trolls: keep your unwanted acidic and caustic meaningless babble to yourselves, and instead pray you will one day get laid.

  • Back when the black man was considered a devonaire gentleman. Sad to see how degenarated black men have become now...n1ggers and on welfare.

  • @6robyc you are a absolute piece of shit. just know that i would stab you in the liver for that remark. and im white mother f*cker.

  • whos singing this version. i cant quite make it out. if i was to guess i`d say it was Ben E king, but not sure

  • I believe I read that the female back-up singers heard on the bridge and the outro were Doris Troy, Dee Dee & Dionne Warwick.

  • Absolutely brilliant group, song and words.

I am 63 and feel so young as we used to go dancing alot and the guy that danced the last dance with you really was the one that you went home with and he took you home and there was no sex---all innocent, sweet, great times and boys respected girls and kept the pants zipped up or else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rosebuddy47 How true are your words! I am 72 years old and remember those dances with an infinite longing. I remember the girsl: had a light clear eyes you were reading the soul within.

  • Le Primera Vez que escuche esta canción fue en la serie Queer as Folk!!!

  • ben nu 71 jaar, deze muziek van de jaren 60 krijg ik steeds mijn jeugd herrinneringen terug .

  • The man who wrote this song (I dont know his name),was in a wheelchair and he wrote this song for his wife that loved to dance.

  • This was the number one song when I was born! lol

  • I was "born too late" and have to content myself with hearing this kind of music on CD.

  • @cassiesmum1 Buy some vinyl records - it's much more fun and style!

  • Glad I was born this time ;)

  • Brian and Justin <3

  • As a 23 year old, I can't help but have a soft spot for true music. The music of today is an abortion of sound. This, on the other hand, is truly inspired music. Simple, elegant, and timeless. Classic.

  • de goeie oude tijd jammer kwam die maar terug

  • You give me 10 cents and I went straight to John Moore Jux box across the street from where I lived in St.James, Barbados back in the 60's. I would punch K2 to get this song and G7 for Sam Cooke's Another Saturday Night. I was about seven years old at the time; and I was not embarrassed to dance; now I realize that I can't dance, but at that time I didn't mind.

  • in the middle, arnold schwarzenegger!?

    --Mike

  • :) very nice!

  • In Europe the best cover was by a Croatian singer Ivo Robić. He sang it in German and reached Nr. 1 there and stayed in top place for two months.

The song was also very popular in former Yugoslavia.

  • Fabulous!!!!

The Drifters were the best. I realize they had several lead singers, but each one was a winner.

    Many thanks for posting.

  • Thumbs up if Emily Bruce From MTV MADE's video 'MTV MADE girl has a special message' for Jon K brought you here ;)

  • Now this is what you call music!

  • UMMMMM

  • sweet sweet music

  • But don't forget who's takin' you home

And in whose arms you're gonna be ♥

  • Waithing for the day when people will come up with something original to get likes on their comments insted of mentioning the people who disliked video and "still listening this in 2011" and on .

  • Truly an international song: I've heard it in several languages, imitating it...but the original is, well, the original. Fabulously done by the Drifters. They died broke but their music will forever be with us--and appreciated. Truly an American original.

    Will always love you guys!

  • Was Ben E King part of the Drifters?

  • @Dharma0911 yes...thats him singin lead on this song....the picture you see is of an earlier line up of The Drifters with original lead singer Clyde McPhatter standing in the middle

  • @77GetReady Thank you for your response.....unfortunately, I'm now discovering these great oldies either from movies/cartoons/games.....remembering my parents listening/dancing to this music......w/much appreciation.../Sharmie
